*** set a date and time to bid my job to move a laundry room. On the original date, he cancelled and moved it to the following day. The next day he was supposed to be there at 10:00 am. After no show, and no contact, I called him at 10:45 am and it sounded like I woke him up. He bid the job and I agreed to give him a $600 deposit to start the job for materials. He came out a few days later and tore out an entire wall of drywall, and left. I never heard from him after that. I called 5 or 6 days later and he had excuse after excuse. We agreed to split ways and he would refund my $600. I asked if he needed my info and he claimed that he had it all.. I have checked in with him periodically over the past month and he would typically respond within a few days with an excuse, and act like he was going to refund me. He has now stopped responding to my messages and I have received no refundsBusiness response

On Nov. 17, 2023, *** agreed to put in a new water heater and remove the old one. That was on a Friday. He did not have his truck with him and I told him he could keep the old water heater on my porch until Monday. He had a flat tire on his truck and would return on Monday. While he was here he replaced the shower hose and when he tested it, the water pressure wasn**;t as good as it used to be. He implied this part would be free for me. He never came back to install it. He told me he had to get a part, order a part and would come back and install it at the same time when he picked up the old water heater. He never picked up the old water heater. At the beginning of January, he kept texting me he was going to come and some excuse and he never came back to finish the job. I would like for him to come pick up the old water heater, to get normal water pressure and finish the job.Business response

The credit card company agreed with me and said all work was performed and completed satisfactorily. I tried to resolve this with her and she stopped returning my phone calls. I have all the paperwork.Initial Complaint

****** of DNS Plumbing did work for us two years ago. He often didn't show up on many of the expected days and did not call us, but he eventually finished the job satisfactorily, though it was frustrating how long it took. On 08/30/23, ****** came to our home to evaluate a basement sewer backup. He indicated the trap at the bottom of the pipe was cast iron and had disintegrated, would need to be replaced, and could involve $3,000 to $17,000 depending on how far it might be necessary to break up the concrete floor to find "good" pipe onto which a new connection could be achieved. We are retired, and said we'd have to think about what to do. We were able to call *** back mid-November 2023, and made an oral contract with him to begin the work Monday 11/20/23. Friday, 11/17/23, *** called to say he'd need $1,000 up front to begin the work. The money was sent to him through VENMO that day, and is recorded on the website. The oral agreement included that *** would show up to begin the work on Monday, 11/20/23. *** did not show up, and never called as to why, but we were not surprised as that was his pattern the last time he worked for us. When we called him he said he had a number of emergency calls from the weekend, and would start the next day Tuesday 11/21/23. By noon Tuesday, he had again not yet arrived, nor called, so we called him to say we intended to find someone else to do the work, because Christmas was coming and we didn't want the project to extend into the new year, as we had already experienced last time that he was often not showing up to do the work on the days to which he'd committed, so couldn't trust this time would not be the same. In that conversation on Tuesday, 11/21/23, we asked him to return the $1,000, and he agreed. We left two separate VENMO messages to him over the next several weeks requesting he return our money as soon as possible, but they've gone unanswered, and *** still has not refunded our $1,000 nor contacted us.Business response

I had DNS out to snake a toilet and was told that if I had to replace the toilet within 30 days, half of my service charge would be credited to the install. A week later I had to have them come replace the toilet. I realized after the fact that the $75 was not credited on my install. I reached out via email and didn’t hear anything for a week. At that point, I reached out via the office text number I was given. I was told that they would have ***, the owner, reach out to me to get this resolved. That was on 10/12. I have reached out 2 more times since with no response from the company.Business response

I am rejecting this response because: No check has been received, more than a week after you said it was sent, and I have still not been contacted by anyone from the company. I have USPS informed delivery, and there is no record of anything being sent from your company
