We were in the process of remodeling a bathroom and ran in to multiple problems. Luckily, we were given Guy's name as a recommendation from the manufacturer of the product we were using. They recommended him because he has installed their product for so many years that a strong relationship had developed between them. Guy was able to speak to the company directly on our behalf and resolve our issues saving us thousands of dollars! We are very pleased with his work, professionalism and how quickly he was able to step in to save our project - just in time for a house full of guests for our daughter's wedding. We are now enjoying our new bathroom everyday! Plans for a kitchen remodel are in the works and we will be using Hourglass Remodeling again.

Hourglass remodeled our 35 year old bathroom by removing the original small shower, jacuzzi tub and putting in a custom large size shower where the tub was. We are enjoying the shower and are extremely pleased with the quality of work and personal service Guy gave the project! He suggested ways to make the oversized door more stable and helped with color choices of the ****** Very happy we took his suggestions on both! His experience in those matters was most needed. Not only did he do the work for which we contracted, he did additional maintenance that was needed such as replacing the facet in our other bath and repairing some electrical outlets that had come out of the wall. The extras were an additional charge, of course, but we were pleased he took the time do them rather than ******* to another job. We would definitely call Hourglass Remodeling for any further needs. I was in the process of a DIY remodel and I got a a point where I needed help. I called Hourglass Remodeling on the recommendation of a friend. Guy was at my door the next day and provided a quote the next day. He was able to start the job in less then 2 weeks and had the job finished in just over 2 weeks as well and that was with a couple snow days that interrupted the job. During the job he was very friendly and even offered to pick up some items for me when he made store trips. I am very satisfied with the finished job and the price I paid for it. I will definitely give him another call without hesitation when I come across another project that I need help with. Thanks Guy!!

Horrible company. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! He lies, cheats you out of money. Gives Seconds as new products. Remodeled our bathroom, stain coming off of cabinets, mirrors, he bought and refinished them, charged us a very high price. AWFUL, AWFUL person

I saw your review that you wrote to the BBB on Saturday March 19, 2020 and have to present the facts of the work that I performed for you with the contract dated 5-20-2013. That was almost 9 years ago since the job was started. In my eyes that is a long time for an honest review to be written especially if you have forgotten some of the key facts that were put into your review. I would like to present a few of these to you with documentation that are clearly available. They are as follows:
1. The contract was clearly written and signed by you.
2. The material was described and written out in an excel spreadsheet, that described what materials were to be used and quantities.
3. All workmanship and materials were completed as per the contract and approved by you at the end of the job as witnessed by your final payment that I have record of.
4. The cabinets were custom made by Hourglass Remodeling (*** ******) the cabinet boxes were made from birch plywood bought from Schaeller Hardwood*, the doors were made by The Cabinet Door Shop* and finished with a hand rubbed finish and water borne clear finish in a black stain as was picked out by you.
5. There were no seconds on any product that was used on your job except the old mirrors that I have photos of that you wanted to reuse because we could not find any other mirrors that you liked. As per your request I stripped the old finish and stain and matched the finish to the new finish on your new cabinets using new medicine cabinets made by myself.
6. The flooring, Onyx Collection Products and everything else was purchased as per contract and installed in a professional manner.
7. As far as the price there was approximately $14,500 in material and approximately 5,500 in labor. By any means this is not excessive wages for all the work that was performed.
8. There is a warranty that you were given upon completion of the work, also posted on my website (***************************). It describes the time limit and responsibilities of Hourglass Remodeling and of the homeowner. The material and workmanship are guaranteed for one year from the completion date and it is your responsibility to notify me of Any problems that develop in writing, and I would address the matter within 48 hours after I receive this written notice. I was never informed of any problems until about 6-7 months ago when I met you out in public somewhere and you said the stain was coming off the cabinets. This was almost 8 years after the warranty expired. I told you the only thing that would harm the finish is a harsh chemical cleaner, because the clear finish is a water-based polyurethane.
9. I have pictures that I will provide the Better Business Bureau of the before pictures, contracts, excel spreadsheet with material and labor rates, computer renderings of what the cabinets would look like, Onyx Collection previews, invoices, and of course pictures of the day that I finished the job and collected the final check that proved that you were satisfied with the workmanship and material.
10. I have made many custom cabinets and never had an issue with the finish. I have a lady that her vanity cabinet was made very close to yours and her cabinet looks in near perfect condition as in the picture that I have acquired from her.
I disagree with your review as pointed out by the facts of this letter and the documentation that I have in my possession. I can not change how you feel, but if there were real problems about the job, you should have called or written me, and I would have tried my best to remedy the situation as best as possible. Not to go to the Better Business Bureau as you did.
