We have cracks, chipping, all thru out our interior and exterior concrete. We have complained to our contractor whom had the owner come to our home. The owner told us concrete cracks we don’t guarantee any of this. He also stated he has over 500 complaints and he doesn’t even care. He told us we could pay for someone to test our concrete because it’s not his fault. We know that he doesn’t poor the amount that is code for the driveway because of other neighbors. We are also told that are contractor is making new homes sign a form because of all the cracking and chipping in the outside concrete whom they both report is caused by salt even know we had these cracks before any salt was laid on the streets. We have filed at least 10 complaints to **** ******** *** ****, the contractor and no one is telling up to fix what this awful concrete company has done to our home. I have had two other concrete companies come out to evaluate and been told this is not normal for a new home. The owner was told this and he just tried to over talk us with statements that aren’t true. We would like all of these issues fixed asap and not just covered up with concrete that will continue to crack! Attached is some of the 100 or more photos we have taking since buying our brand new home!

We did go out and look at ** ********** concrete to determine the cause of her issues. We did notice cracking where it is supposed to be which is in the tool joints and on zip strips. Tool joints and zip strips are installed to help control where cracking occurs. The popping of the concrete is from salt damage.

Gsell concrete in Barnhart did all of the driveways and they say they’re not responsible. Homes that were not built with KAB their driveways are fine. I want this looked into

I am sorry that your driveway is having these issues.  We do not warranty the concrete itself due to chemical reactions.

New build. Moved in 6 months ago. After 4 months driveway began to fall apart. **** with G'Sell told me I should have sealed my driveway. (I told him I did) he then began to tell me it is Salt damage. Ive lived in Alaska for 8 yrs. Never seen a driveway do this. Every driveway they have done in our neighborhood is falling apart. Please fix my driveway. Poor workmanship and lack of pride.

I have been in business for over 30 years, and even took the concrete mix company out to look at this drive way, we both find this to be chemical damage, and not product or workmanship issues. The sidewalk and other concrete area's remain undamaged, the damage is only on the driveway where the vehicles park. Salt and chemicals can cause damage either by the homeowner treating the driveway or even bring it in on their tires. The maintenance on new concrete is solely the responsibility of each homeowner. We are sorry there is nothing more we can do to resolve this damage claim.

Built my house 2020 December January 2021 my driveway concrete started breaking apart. The builder told me to wait till the end of the year to get it fixed and it just kept getting worse now they said it has no warranty. Called them again 2 weeks ago they said they would come to look at the problem and never did.

I am rejecting this response because:the company needs to look at my driveway of it is salt damage why isn't the extended driveway where the same tires and same salt from the same vehicle at the same location due to the same weather causing the SAME DAMAGE. Youtbe me this please. I'd you can explain this with a reasonable answer then I can believe this is salt damage. This is a rip off of a concrete company that uses cheaper material that isn't for driveway.

      Sincerely,

Our driveway is a brand new construction and is chipping away. We are the 40th complaint in this subdivision (************** ********. Other neighbors who live in this community have complained as well, to no avail. We feel it is not our responsibility to replace our brand new driveway that is less than a year old! Our driveway is spalling or the top layer is chipping away daily. Our one year date is March 5th. We have contacted G’Sell with no response at all. None of our neighbors in this community have heard from G’Sell either. We would like an investigation to take place to see why our driveways are in such bad repair, with only being less than a year old. Thank you for your time, **** *** ****** ******** **** ******** **** ************ ** ***** ************

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The drive was installed in too cold of temperature and salt was kept off driveway. The driveway is breaking at the joints seaming not strong. Other residents have the same problem.  and our year warranty for new construction has been fulfilled by other contractors, but not this situation.  We owned other new homes and the driveway hasn’t done this. I never salted that driveway.
It seems like just an excuse and not a way fix the problem.
      Sincerely,

      **** *** ****** ********
