We looked and drove a car on Saturday May 28th. We asked that the antifreeze smell be addressed along with the note on the car stating there was a leak. We were told it would be looked at and fixed if needed. We put a deposit on the vehicle and agreed to return on May 31st to purchase the vehicle. On May 31st we returned and were assured the car was ok and they wiped off the note regarding the leak. On the drive home which is two hours away we had to add antifreeze. Over the next few hours antifreeze had to be added 2 more times. We have since had to add antifreeze multiple times a day. Today is the second day we have owned it and the shop we took it to states it needs a new radiator and the price is 2000. We called the dealership the same day we purchased and asked why it wasn’t fixed. They told us there were no problems and they are as is. The car was not fixed to begin with and this dealership takes no ownership for anything. I want the repair bill reimbursed.Business response

As per this complaint we received we would like to inform you that all our vehicles are sold "AS IS".
We always encourage our customers to take the cars for pre-purchase inspection along with the test drive before they purchase it.The 2012 BMW 750 was sold to Mr. ****** on 05/30/2022 , “AS IS".
We did check for leaks prior to delivery , and there was none.. Apparently after the customer drove it for 2 hours to Holton , KS the radiator started leaking. The customer called 2 days later, and stated that radiator is leaking and is going to cost him $1800. As a courtesy we called the part store and priced a new radiator for $500, and we offered him to bring the vehicle to our service facility and we will cover the labor, so his cost will only be $500.
It is his choice that he went somewhere else and spent an outrageous amount of money on replacing the radiator . We are not obligated to compensate him as we sell all our vehicles AS-IS.
KCMO Automotive does business with business Ethics. We always want our customers to drive away satisfied. We sell used quality reliable vehicles.
At this point we deny any compensation.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at *************
Thank you
Regards

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: We called same day. I can show phone records of calls made. The vehicle was looked over and driven prior to purchase and that is when we smelled antifreeze and asked that the car be repaired. The owner responding to these messages has never returned our calls as we have been told would happen when we do call. We should not have to pay for any part of this repair as it should of been completed prior to the purchase as we had asked. The car literally had a note written on it that there was a leak that KCMO wiped off. If we chose to have KCMO repair the car then we are out money for a lost day of wages and the parts. We should not have to pay any part of this repair. The vehicle was not fixed at all.
