They botched my tooth extraction, left 4 fillings rigid and uneven to the point where I actually had to force floss through because it was basically fused to all the other teeth. I have EXTREME dental anxiety, they told me they would prescribe me a valium, and we had TALKED about this 2-3 times before the scheduled extraction, just to come in the day of and be told that I wouldn't because I should've gotten it filled on my OWN? This was NEVER discussed, and how is an individual supposed to just call and request a pharmacy to fill a script for valium without a prescription? I was extremely upset and terrified, crying in the chair while waiting. The assistant saw me upset and crying, said "it'll be fine, I'll talk you through it!" and walked out like that would've helped. I sat and waited 30 minutes after the scheduled appt before even seeing the dentist. The dentist was AWFUL, digging around for 40 minutes, his arm was laying on my face the entire time with all his weight, stretching my mouth open the entire time WITH his METAL tools. The hygienist didn't give me water at all the entire time! My mouth was so dry from being held open with the tools, it felt like my lip was being ripped apart. The dentist was pulling so hard on my face that I was completely smashed up against his chest the entire procedure. I was shaking and crying the entire time. The dentist randomly decided to drill into my tooth to break it purposely. When the tooth was officially out, the dentist left without saying goodbye and I did NOT receive an x-ray to ensure ALL the tooth had been removed. My face had scratches and was so red afterwards due to how horribly the dentist handled me! I was told it might bleed up to 2-4 hours after procedure. It CONSISTENTLY bled (not just blood-tinged saliva, full blown bleeding/soaking gauze with blood) FOR 48 HOURS. 3 weeks later, my extraction site still bleeds, and I STILL have the deep-rooted nerve pain that I felt when the tooth was still there! BOTCHED!

I have been traumatized from my emergency dental appointment on Monday, Nov. 13 at aspen dental in blue springs mo. I presented to the clinic with severe pain in one of my teeth. Dr Adam Hallam couldn't even tell me which tooth was giving me the pain even after multiple x-rays. All he was trying to do was sell me dentures. You could tell he became annoyed that I wasnt signing up for any denture work to be done since I was in so much pain. He literally proceeded to give me 3 shouts of Novocain and immediately started pulling one of my teeth that he wasnt even for sure was the one bothering me. The Novocain was not numbing me and I told him as much and he just kept pulling and tugging at my tooth. I was in so much agony and pain I was sitting on my feet in a dentist chair and screaming. There was not a nurse in there in the beginning, he put no bib on me so my blouse was covered with blood and the office literally didnt have me sign anything to extract my tooth. I was treated like an animal and Dr. Hallam should not be in practice. I am so mortified that a human was treated like this. My insurance covered everything 100 percent. I am in shock . They do not even deserve 1 star
