We hired Beagley’s Heating and Cooling to work on our properties. Per ****** ******** we had to pay cash upfront for the cost of the HVAC units, he would then go purchase from ****** ****** ************** ****, and once installed we would pay the labor to him. He had replaced several units on our properties with no problems. We paid him $4,600 cash for a unit for our home. He got the wrong size unit and stated he would return the unit & they would issue him a check for the remaining balance, it would take 2-3 days for the check to clear his bank before he could refund us our money. It was decided that ****** would keep the $4,600 and use it to purchase a unit for a rental property and do some other HVAC work and we would cover half the restocking fee. ****** stopped communicating with us when we kept pushing for an install date (see attached) On October 20, 2023 we filed a civil lawsuit. He was served on 11/26/23. Once served **** reached out to see if we could work out an arrangement to take care of what he owes. He acknowledged in his text that he ripped us off but used the excuse his truck and trailer was stolen and our money was in there as the reason he did not return our money. We found out that his trailer, not the truck, was stolen on October 25, 2023 almost 2 months after he took our money. He stated that he had planned to make it right with us but since we filed a suit he was not going to. We had a court hearing on January 2, 2024 in which ****** Beagley did not appear. The judge reviewed our documents and we were awarded a judgment in the amount of $5,800 for the stolen money, court/service fees and attorney fees. We detailed timeline, communication between ****** & ****, the facebook posts regarding his stolen trailer, his **************** ************ * ********* **** *** **** ** **** ******* **** ** ** *** ******** *** ***** ********* ** *** ******** ** *** * ******* **** ** ******* *** ******** ********** *****

Beagleys completed installation of a 96+ Comfortmaker furnace in my home on 9/28/2023. This unit replaced a gshp unit with a hwh storage tank connection. I have personally spoke with Nathan Beagley by phone on or about 10/10/2023 concerning an issue that I am having with my hot water delivery to that part of my home with large amounts of air being entrained into my plumbing system with no relief...thus causing my faucets in this part of my home to stop running. He assured me that he would be out to check. He also was to provide me with hardcopy receipts reflecting my purchase of a high efficiency heating unit and programmable thermostat with their model numbers and costs in order that I be able to resubmit paperwork to Spire gas for rebates...they need these from the Hvac contractor who both purchased and installed the equipment. I have now encountered 3 weeks of Beagleys not responding to multiple emails and phone messages left with them. He is not taking my calls. Their business address is *** ** ******* **, Blue Springs, MO ************** ********** *** *************

The problem at hand is that I didn't respond fast enough.  And I had shown up there to address the problem and it is air locked for some reason. And even had a plumber lined up to come out and address the problem . Un tell I got this email.. and from here on I well not be helping mister turn out any more . Sorry. All I did was what he asked me to do and that would be remove a water source heatpump and install a high efficiency gas furnace .. I couldn't see getting air in the lines would lead to this problem. And feel bad. . And would have made it right Un tell I opened this email. So do what u want to do.  Sorry

      Customer response

      11/28/2023

I am awaiting further input from the BBB at this time after I registered a response to the business' response to my original complaint. I made the BBB aware of my dissatisfaction with the business' response now 3 weeks ago.

The business is refusing to make effort to resolve my plumbing issues caused by their work. They are refusing to give me equipment model numbers and their purchase receipts needed for my application for rebates with the local gas company.

And even more importantly I am left without labor and warranty coverages on this new heating equipment installed in my home.

Do I need to seek out immediate hvac and plumbing help for my predicament? Also your advice for my need for seeking legal redress to my predicament is requested and will be appreciated.

The BBB must stand to a business' standing in their community if they are not responding to the consumer in effort to to right the issues that they have caused and their neglect in response.

It is more than evident in their worded response that they are admitting to fault and yet thumbing their nose at any intent to correct those issues that they have caused.
