This company accepted job to rebuild/upgrade engine and other components of our 2008 GT/CS Mustang in September 9, 2020. It took them 1230 days, $42k, and many empty promises/lies later to deliver the car back to us. It was not operational including 3 flat tires when we received it back January 20, 2024 they didnt even return the keys which we still have not received after multiple requests. We had to spend $4k to another mechanic to complete repairs for the car to be drivable. There remain many issues with the car that were not present when we delivered to their shop that are unrelated to the engine upgrade job. They damaged the wiring harness, automatic door locks, cruise control, and speedometer all do not function as they should. This is a $100k+ show car kept in a temperature controlled environment but based on the condition of the paint and graphics all of which will need to be replaced its clear they left the car outside for a large portion of the time it was in their possession. The bumper was damaged and poorly repaired with paint globs and the front windshield was cracked neither of which was disclosed to us so that we could properly notify our insurance company. We have provided the owners pictures of all of these claims and issues and they have conversed directly with the secondary mechanics and continue to ignore their responsibility to make things right. Maybe most egregious is they engaged in billing fraud. They have charged us for duplicate labor due to many mistakes and inefficiencies of their mechanics needing to redo their work repeatedly. Their bookkeeping, invoicing, job tracking systems are abysmal. They have been repeatedly unable to provide documentation of the details of their work, cost breakdowns, or proof of products. Despite the fact that we paid for everything upfront in advance in cash/credit card. We requested a settlement for breech of verbal contract of ~$5k which has been ignored since beginning of April 2024.

I have bent over backwards for this lady and her husband.  We did $10,000 to $15,000 worth of work on her car for free.  She has threatened us and told us she would ruin my business.  I have done what I could possibly do for her and she is not going to bully me.  She took it to a different shop, they found a lot wrong with it, and I told her to have them send me pictures.  I told them that if it is something obvious I will help her.  I can't make her happy no matter what I do.  I am not giving her money back.  We build week to week and if at any point they were unhappy with what was going on with their car, they could have told us.  They didn't say anything to us.  The parts were not available because of Covid.  It is out of my control when people don't have parts.  I can't stand behind parts that I don't make.  We didn't touch their tires.
