We bought a house in November 2023 that had a new roof installed by Plumlee construction. Every time it rains the gutters flood water from them even though they are clean. We didn't think anything of it until the wood siding on our house has started to rot from water damage. We had a contractor come out and when the roofing company installed the roof before we bought the house they did not properly do the required step to have the gutters work properly. The gutters are now behind the roof drip edge and the drip edge has been notched. This is allowing water to come out of the gutters incorrectly and damage our home. It has now caused water damage in areas of our home. We did not pay Plumlee construction for their work because it was done before we bought the house but they did not properly do the work that would allow our gutters to work properly.Customer response

Plumlee came out today and was fantastic in explaining what happened with the roof and gutters. My complaint was no fault of theirs. They managed the issue well and even did some work and recommended what we need to help the situation. I would like to retract this complaint as I know now the work they did was done well. Next time I will likely just call them because they had fantastic customer service. Please retract complaint.Initial Complaint

On 3/07/23 Plumlee began roof repairs. I had an estimate for $2400 from *******: Roof-Take out old screws & replace with new over sized screws- $2000, Transition unscrews old screws install new flashing-$400. Plumlee was hired to fix an addition room as well as 2 other leaks in the main house. I was told by Plumlee that to fix the leaks in the main house all the screws would need to be replaced with over sized screws. The flashing was put back on in the addition room incorrectly as it is currently in pieces as they left it. The main house had 15 new leaks after Plumlee completed their work. I called Plumlee on 3/20 & 3/21 I spoke with Plumlee and someone came out to look at the leaks and fix the leaks. On 3/24, 3/27 & 4/4 I spoke with ***** & ****** & told them the roof still leaked. On 4/4/23 Plumlee came out and put in a new ridge guard on half of the house. I paid on 4/11/23. By 5/24/23 it rained and I still had 4 of the 15 new leaks, I called Plumlee no answer. By 6/27/23 we got more rain I had 7 of the 15 new leaks now, I called Plumlee no answer. I quit calling because no one would return my calls or come out. As of today 11/30/23 I still have 7 of the 15 new leaks Plumlee left me with. I have to stick out bowls and move my furniture every time it rains. I have photos to back all of this up.Business response

We have not received any phone call and we did fix what was out there. There was other issues that needed to be repaired but she didn't want to upgrade. Also ******* who was her representative said that all the leaks that she had stopped and we were paid for that. but the last call we received from her was May 2023. If there more issues that need fixed we will help her.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I paid them to fix my leaks not create new ones. I have 100% proof my roof is leaking in 7 of the 15 new leak areas Plumlee left me with. I paid this company $2400 and I am left with 7 leaks in my house, 4 more then I started with. As a recently widowed, disabled senior citizen, I feel I was scammed. Since this company is refusing to fix their mistakes I have been left with this heavy and nearly impossible task of dealing with moving my furniture and tending to the filled buckets and bowls. There are no issues that need fixed outside of the new leaks they created. I will not pay Plumlee more money for issues I didn't have to start with. ******* told me when he gave me the estimate this was the solution for fixing my roof. Everything on the estimate was done and paid for yet I'm still left with new leaks created by Plumlee.
