I bought a car from Branson Auto and Farm Museum located in Branson, MO. I asked the salesman if there were any issues with the vehicle, specifically rust issues and frame rail issues. He sent me a couple pictures showing a small amount of rust which was not a big deal. I took receipt of the vehicle and found additional rust in the trunk which is a fairly big hole. I had to wait for an appointment with a specialty shop to get the vehicle looked at, the shop put the car on a lift and showed me what had been done to the frame rails. The frame rail repairs have been done extremely poorly, they also showed me the cross-member that had been welded in and deemed the car unsafe. The shop gave me a rough estimate of $10k to fix the car correctly, having to remove the interior, remove the engine and transmission in order to fix the cross-member. This vehicle is grossly misrepresented and there was no disclosure about the extensive frame rail repairs. This vehicle was consigned through this business, it is there job to represent the vehicle accurately. This vehicle isn't even safe to drive.Business response

We went over the car and saw no rust other than what we sent pics of. The spot in the trunk was under the factory liner and was not visible. The car ran and drove great. We saw no issues that would make the car unsafe to drive. We are always glad to have the cars inspected by a 3rd party inspector prior to purchase. We sold the car the exact way we bought it. Mr ********* never contacted us with any request on anything for the car.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:The vehicle has structural issues reducing the value of the vehicle because they did a terrible job welding the crossmember and rear frame rails. It appears these items were welded by someone who does not know how to weld. I had previously contacted them about the rust issue, this issue is by far more important and serious. I realize they don't care, but structural issues are dangerous. They sold a car they probably knew had these issues. My complaint stands.
Sincerely,
