We took our car in 3 days after we bought it. I gave them a check for a warranty. We put it in the shop and everything came back on the lights on the dashboard. They cleared it and a week later it did the same thing. So I had my own mechanic clear the codes. So they took it to the Subaru in Springfield. This started less than 5 days after we bought the car. We shouldn't have to pay anything for the repair of the car. They were supposed to give us a loaner and they did not do it. We have been without the vehicle - 2016 Subaru Outback. I would want my money back and the money for the warranty back if they can't fix the car.

In regards to ***** ******’s case (*********). We did find some service issues with the vehicle after the customer had purchased it. We attempted to address the issues inhouse but ultimately the vehicle had to be taken to the manufacture for the repairs it needed. We proceeded to take the vehicle to Reliable Imports on 7/7/2023 to have the vehicle repaired. We covered all costs of the repair in the amount of $1581.35. The vehicle was then returned to the customer on 7/14/2023.  We were not made aware of any other issues nor any dissatisfaction from the customer.

      Thank You,

      **** *****

I have taken my truck into pinegar chevrolet branson on the following dates for air conditioning service. 7/1/22, 8/5/22, and 8/11/22. During the July visit I was told they could not find an issue with the air conditioning, approx 3 miles after leaving the a/c issue returned ( blowing hot air ). I then made an appointment with ******** ********* in *********** on 7/14/22, again I was told they could not find an issue. The end of July the a/c completely quit. On 8/5/22 appointment with pinegar branson I was told the condenser had a hole in the bottom right corner and the part would need to be ordered. 8/9/22 call for appointment for replacement condenser to be installed, made for 8/11/22. On the 8/11/22 appointment date I was told the front of the vehicle would have to come off to be able to access the condenser and the job would take 6-7 hours. I was offered a loaner vehicle which I did agree too. 8/12/22 picked up my vehicle, paid $1237.22 for repairs and labor. approx 10 minutes after leaving the original issue started again. I went back to pinegar, after a short wait was told the battery was now the issue. I did purchase a new battery ( $240.00) from **** **** in ********* Mo, which was then installed at discount tire in *********. The a/c issue has still persisted since 8/12/22 even with a new condenser and battery. Appointment made with ** ********** in ***** Mo for 8/25/22. Per the tech at this shop the new condenser is dinged and beat up, the front of the vehicle never had to come off, is half a pound low on freon, and possibly a sensor or computer is the true issue. This service appointment cost $267.00. I do have another service appointment with ** ********** for 9/1/22 to hopefully fix the issue. As of now when the a/c is on it sometimes blows a mist. This has been many days lost sitting in mechanic shops getting nothing done but wasting money.

In regards to the complaint made by *** ****** involving her **** ******** and air conditioning system.  **** ****** first brought the vehicle here on 7/1/2022 with the complaint of "vehicle blows warm at times" we performed an evacuation and recharge on the system.  Freon levels were normal at this time and computer diagnostic came back normal.  We were never able to duplicate the concern.   The customer was not charged for this service visit.

The customer then returned 8/05/2022 with the ac not blowing cold and had completely quit as stated in her complaint letter.  We found the system completely empty and a leak at the bottom right corner of the condenser.  We replaced the condenser and recharged the system after the customer approved the repair.  Everything checked out fine and was working as designed.  The customer paid $1155.86 for this repair after we gave her a coupon discount for her troubles.  There is a 2 year warranty on the condenser.  If there is a problem it would be replaced for no charge if under the warranty coverage.  We have no records indicating the battery was at fault.  The customer may have come back to the service drive and had a quick test done.  We may have had a faulty battery at the time but the customer chose to take it somewhere else.   Again we have no records in regards to the battery replacement.

The customer then returned 8/18/2022 with the concern of "ac will stop blowing cold after being driven for 15 or 20 miles."  We tried numerous times to duplicate the concern and never could.  We ran a computer diagnostic no codes were stored and everything was working as designed.  The customer came back the next day and picked up the vehicle.  *** ****** was not charged for any check out or computer diagnostic at this time.

The customer returned on 9/01/2022 with the complaint of "the ac system works half the time."  We performed an evacuation of system to check freon levels.   All the levels were fine.  We scanned the computer system and found 2 codes present, 1 was for a purge valve failure (not related to the ac system) and the other was ***** "air compressor valve control failure" indicating the valve on the air compressor has faulted.  After running through our flow chart for the trouble code we found the evaporator sensor hanging down and duct tape over the hole where it was supposed to be installed.  I asked the customer about this and she stated she went to ** ********** in *****, they were running tests, had charged her $267.00 for an evacuation and recharge of the system, and she knew the sensor was not installed.  So at this point I told her I would put her in a loaner car and we would keep it to run more tests.  We reinstalled the sensor and tried to duplicate the concern.  Once again we were never able to reproduce it.  I had contacted *** ****** and let her know the vehicle wasn't faulting after numerous test drives.  She requested to replace the purge valve for the other trouble code we had found.  We advised *** ****** that the possible problem is with the ac compressor due to the trouble code we had found.  Since we were unable to get it to duplicate the fault we are not 100% this was the issue.  We offered to keep the truck for a few more days and continue to run more tests to duplicate the concern, keeping her in a loaner car.  The customer declined this and decided to take her truck again.

*** ****** seemed understanding of the issue when she picked the vehicle up on the 9/2/2022.  I explained the most likely cause was the ac compressor but was unable to completely condemn it due to the fact the vehicle never faulted when we had it.  *** ****** also understood that the repair we made to the condenser on 8/5/2022 fixed her concern and the ac was operating normal when she left on 8/12/2022.  As there are multiple working components to the air condition system.  This is a case of 2 different concerns that occurred at different times.  *** ****** has never been charged for diagnosis, evacuation and recharge, or loaner cars while trying to find the cause of her intermittent loss of air conditioning.
