We were needing our propane water heater replaced. I had purchase the water heater on my own but needed it installed. We purchased a Rheem 50 gallon tank. It has excellent ratings, 4 stars and is manufactured in the ***, very few are. I contacted Juniors Plumbing, ********/************** Junior answered the phone. I told him work we need done and mentioned that I had already purchased our own W/H. He ask what brand, *****, he told me that they were manufactured in *****, no true. Rheem is one of few that is still made still in the ***. He stated the he carries ***************, their made in *******I agreed for Juniors Pluming to come out and replace our tank and rework the water and gas connections for the water heater replacement. He quoted $500.00 on the phone.I thought that that was high but we needed the work done. He can out the next morning with his helper. He looked at the W/H location and stated that it was going to be $600.00 because of the all the extra work. He stated that he was going to needed to modify the water/gas connections. Isn't that what plumber do? He was rude and very vocal of his opinion. I had already emptied all of the water out of the old tank and had the work area cleared of any objects. ****** arrived at 10:45 AM to stated the work. He was completely done by 12 noon and leaving our property. There was maybe $ ****** worth of material furnished by him, less with wholesale/contractor prices. $600.00 seems excessive for the time and materials that were needed. I took 1.25 hours total to complete the job, extra work?. Plus they didn't have to haul off the old water tank.I should of made more calls for pricing and service. If your need any a plumbing work done. Be wear! $$$
