In October/November 2021 ***********************, owner, of Henderson Plumbing came out to give me a quote of completing the connections of a half bath and laundry room of a house we had recently purchased and install a water softener. Mr. **** said he had a device that would take care of my hard water issue and would be more cost effective (pennies a day) than a water softener. I told him I had tried a similar device already that didn't help but he insisted that the one he had to sell was "HEAVY DUTY" and not available for purchase online. He also said if after trying it for a couple of months if I didn't notice an improvement he would take it back. The cost was $400 for a Clear Wave salt free water conditioner model number CW-125. Nothing "Heavy Duty" mentioned about it on several online websites where it is available (research done after purchase when I had the box to verify exact product). The charge to install (5 minute job practically anyone could do) was $50. The quote to do the actual plumbing work I had called him about was $350 and he said he would do it the following week. I asked for a receipt and he said he'd left the paperwork at home but would give it when he came to do the actual plumbing work. He never showed up. After trying to call him multiple time (sometimes he'd answer or call back but rarely) I was finally able to reach him using someone else's phone number. I'm pretty sure he has blocked both my husband's and my number as they go straight into voicemail. When I used someone else's phone he agreed to the refund saying he would be out that afternoon. Again a no-show. I am seeking a full refund of $450. I'm actually out more than that due to making special trips to have the water softener available for him to install when he came out to take back the product and finish the plumbing started by the previous owner so I think this amount is more than fair.
