*** **** (Ross Construction LLC) signed a contract to install a septic system and clear a piece of land in Sullivan, Mo. He did remove some trees and laid down some gravel so we could put in a well. He did not complete the work hat he stated he would and signed a contract to complete. He did however, take money from us to work on the job for completion as agreed. Since this issue other people have contacted me to share that they had the same experience with *** ****. I have since learned that he has started another business named Ross Construction LLC.

We had contacted *** around the beginning of 2021 for a new septic installation. We had some delays with the county and other contractors but once we were ready to start he asked for a down payment of $12,000 the job was to cost $28,000. We gave him the payment and he said he would start in two weeks. Two weeks rolled by and he didnt stop by. We tried calling and he didnt answer us and his voicemail was too full. When we did get in touch with him he said the same thing that it would take two weeks we even asked if he was still able to do the job and he said he would. He did complete work with a friend of his for excavation back in April of this year (2023). We talked to him and paid him for the job as well but would keep asking for the check when it takes a moment for the title company to process the information in their system. We then called again and the calls said they failed. We got in touch with his friend and he told us that Ross Contractors had filed bankruptcy and that he wont be able to pay people back. His friend has been trying to make him work and finish the jobs that he has not finished. All we ask is for them to complete the job that has been payed for. That is all we ask for and dont want to have to take it to court. If he does not finish the job then we would like a refund on what is able to be given back.

In August of 2022, we hired **** Septic to install a septic system on our property in ******** Co. We put a down payment of $7000 on the contract written by *********************, by a wire transfer on Aug 29 to ********************'s bank account. Upon "completion", we wrote a check for $6000 to ********************, and ****** asked me to "add 'Septic' on the check" because his son was now running the Septic side, and he wanted him to keep his books separate. At this time, the job was not complete, but I had no reason to distrust them. The contract called for them to do a final clean up/back-fill/grade/seed and straw the field. ****** said that the dirt needed to settle in the trenches for a few weeks, and that made perfect sense. *Except* that they never came back to finish it. There is still a pile of dirt and sunken trenches in our yard.

On November 3rd, 2022 Ross contractors was contracted to replace a Class 1 septic system. The initial timeline given was before closing on the house December 3rd. Once that was apparent it wouldnt be done we were told no later than January 1st. That never happened either, so we continued to ask when he would be out. We were told it would take no more than an hour or two and hed come by as soon as the ground dried up. April rolls around and he tells us May 15th he will be here and everything will be completed. He asked me to be there to shut the water off, so I take off work and wait for him to show up. Doesnt respond to texts or call and never shows. Now he doesnt respond to anything and the title company has stepped in, but its just more lies about the permit. Now I am having to get the septic pumped as I am worried it will back up into the house. Everytime water is used a pool fills up in my back yard of sewage water and has a terrible smell. I spoke to the county code enforcement today July 3rd and they still have no record of the permit. They were given a down payment of $6,000 when contracted and it seems theyve tried to take the money and run. I want them to either come do the job they were hired for or return the money so we can get someone in here that will actually do it.

On 11/3/22 I had ****** ***** give us a bid on the septic and aerator for our property at ***** ** ******** ******* ** *****. The total cost was $11,200 and I gave him a down payment of $6,000. He cashed the check o 11/4/23. I have not seen or heard from him other than once where he said the ground was too wet to begin work. Now the ground is not too wet to begin work.

Ross contractors came highly recommended to us by friends for whom he had done work. He also had excellent references on social media, and no complaints from Better Business Bureau etc. We contracted with them to demolish a house and clear property that we intend to build a house on. We were thrilled with the work at first. Once the heavy brush was cleared, and much of it burned, it was obvious that we were going to have to do some additional grading. Although the original contract had not been completed yet, we signed a second contract to do the additional grading. He demanded a very high up front down payment for the additional work, although the original work had not been completed yet.As part of that second deal, he asked if he could bring some brush and limbs from another job site to burn on my property because there was more room to burn it there. While he had his trucks there, he was going to remove the demolition materials from my property, then burn all of the brush. I agreed to that. The day my check cleared, he said he was having trouble with his equipment and would have to take it for a few days to work on it. He never returned. He made unlimited excuses, kept insisting he would be back in a few days, kept insisting he would have the job done in time, but never showed up again. That was in December? 2022?, it is now June? 2023?.He has not finished the clearing, has not burned the rest of the brush, has not removed the materials from the demolition, and has not even started any of the grading work that was to be done with the second contract.By the way, he did come back long enough to dump truckload after truckload after truck load of brush and limbs on my property. He never burned any of ?that?, and never took a single stick of the demolition materials with him.In the last several months he has had many complaints through the BBB. Apparently, he can no longer be trusted to keep his word.

I signed a contract with *** the owner of Ross Contractors to excavate our land, dig ****** to divert the water, dig for my garage pad/house pad to be poured and grade in rock, build up our road and rock it, and create a septic design with a perk test on 3-15-22 with a completion date of 6-1-22 for $25,300, and paid him $15,000 down. I did not see a machine show up for 4 weeks to clear out the land finally when it did show up the next excuse was it was broke. Then finally someone shows up to use the broken machine that is sitting there on my property for a month. He only works 2 days and then is gone for another month. I kept calling *** and its always 2 more week or I need the next payment to purchase material while it is cheap. Long story ***************** has been paid in full and the job still is not done on 4-14-23 ONE FULL YEAR LATER!!!!! After many calls to *** he verbally agreed to give me a partial payment back. I wrote up a contract and emailed and mailed it to him. However his business isnt familiar with email he cant print it out and I guess they dont know how to sign and mail the physical copy back. When I call him he says he cannot come up with the money that I paid him!! Its always 2 more weeks I will have it for you. This is very aggravating and I am very angry someone can just steal money from people like this.

Signed contract May 2022 to have septic drain repair. Told the job would be done in June 2022. We are still waiting. Contractor is non responsive to calls and messages. We were last told this would be finished this week, but he still hasn't gotten an approved plan or paid for permit. We want the job completed by March 31, 2023. Or we will request our deposit back, and hire someone capable of meeting their obligations and promises.

Contract signed on May 16, 2022, to have new septic drain field installed. Half payment of $4,500.00 was paid at that time. Original timeline was soil test in May, installation 3rd week of June. There were delays in getting soil test, permits applied and approval from Jefferson county. Last communication with the company was in September. At that time we were waiting on the county who said they were running 6 weeks behind. We have since tried contacting **** via phone calls, text messages and emails and have received no call backs. I fear we are being ghosted and that my money has been stolen which will result in litigation as I will not walk away from a $4500 loss. Any assistance you can provide to resolve my problem is appreciated. I want this job done, and understand if it has to wait due to weather conditions now that we are moving to winter, but I need to hear from this company so I know how to proceed.

On February 14, 2022 I went under contract with **** *********** and put a down payment of $2400 to get the following jobs completed: 1. Cleaning + Tree Removal + Big Tree 2. 1 Load of rock disbursed on the rear of building 3. Remove and haul away brush and debris 4. Repair rain gutters 5. 4-5 loads of millings 6. Replace window 7. 6" drain pipe installed in the 3 downspout areas He did replace the window (however didn't caulk or seal it, just screwed it in), dumped one load of rock (which he left in a pile in my parking lot), and removed some minimal amounts of brush (which was also left in the middle of my parking lot, blocking in the back barn door to my building and I since then have removed some of the brush pile myself). Since going under contract with **** ***********, he has rarely answered or returned my phone calls. When he did return my calls he would continually tell me he would "get to it next week or in the next couple weeks" or have excuses as to why he hasn't shown up to complete the job. As of October 12th, 2022 ****** **** has ignored my phone calls and refuses to call me back.

They haven't finished the work.  I spoke to him this morning.  He told me a while back he would have all the work done in mid-February.  He has been stringing me along.
