I signed a contract agreement with **** **** of Drew's Home Improveent on April1,2021.This contract was to tear off and reroof over kitchen area, replace south facing kitchen window, wrap in metal under upper porch. Also install vinyl siding on kitchen and upper porch, install chain link fencing with 2 gates in front and back yard. Work was to start on April 28,2021 and be completed by May 17,2021. Total cost was $7,003.00. **** received check # **** in the amount of $4,185.50 on April 2, 2021. A second check #1456 in the amount of $2,817.50 was given to **** on June 11, 2021. After my son checked the work several problems were found. The window was improperly installed and not wrapped in metal. Window was not centered into the opening. It also leaked water into the kitchen and not airtight. The roof did not have new sheeting and a previous leak was not repaired. My son was able to repair the leak.**** did put on new sheeting and rolled roofing when it was brought to his attention. He also repaired some vinyl trim that was wrong. There were many days that he started work late and left early. Drew admitted that the kitchen window was wrong because he was in a hurry to drive out to California . While on trip his truck broke down. Drew and my son had many heated arguementsover these issues.I have lost faith in **** to properly correct these mistakes. I will now need to hire another contractor to complete the work. This will not be easy to do as another contractor will not want to correct his mistakes.
