      I received a proposal from Dedicated Turf in June 2021 for backyard sod (around pool area), and gravel and edging around perimeter of pool. In early July, Dedicated Turf sent one man to start the project. The sod was placed but not rolled out flush with existing grass and had large gaps between pieces of sod. Pieces of the sod began dying quickly despite watering per instructions. The edging around the pool was poorly completed (measure 18in in depth in some areas and 36in in others). The man completing the job agreed that he didn't measure and was not trained to do edging. I reached out to the owner who sent the man back to redo portions. He tried but moving the edging then left gaps between edging and sod. I requested that they come back to fix gaps in sod and roll the sod further to reduce the lip from existing yard and sod but this was not done. The owner stopped responding to my communication. I ended up hiring another company to fix the sod (had to take up many pieces and replace with new sod and use more strips of sod to fill in the gaps). The new company also rolled the sod and seeded at the edge of sod and existing grass to eliminate the large discrepancy in height between the two areas. I paid full price for the poorly executed job from Dedicated Turf (despite asking for a discount for the admitted issues and poor job). I was also charged a late fee, which I paid as I was waiting for a reply from the Dedicated Turf owner. I also had to pay an additional $4000 to a new company to redo and replace sod. I'm disappointed that despite acknowledging that a worker was sent out to do a job, alone, that he was not trained to do, no resolution or discount was honored. I would not recommend this company.

      I was told by employee everything was complete. I went over and was told everything was completed by his daughter, after her father contacted me saying there were problems. If I would have known I would have taken action. The best we could do is a 1,000.00 dollar refund. There was a lot of time, materials and expenses on this job and I'm just now being told there is a problem at the end of October 2023. This job was completed in July 2023.

      I am rejecting this response because: I did reach out to *** L. I asked if he or the worker were going to come back to fill in the gaps and level out the sod. I expressed a desire for the yard to be fixed or for a discount. I had only paid half of the original quote at that point. I didn't hear back but also hadn't been charged the remainder so I thought *** was foregoing the remainder as a response. I wasn't billed in August or September. 

      I then received a bill in October for the remainder with added charges and an added late fee. This is why I filed the complaint. 

      At that point, I had already hired another company to fix the poor job. I've attached pictures.

      I would like at least a partial refund. You can see by the pictures that I could not leave the yard in the condition it was left by *** and his worker. The sod would have died.

      When I was notified of a problem I showed up to take care it.  If there were still issues you shouldn't have paid the full amount and disputed it with us. No contact and we've been told by the employee it was completed and receive full payment so there was no reason to assume it was not completed.  I'll repeat job was completed in Ju;'ly 2023.

      To repeat, I did not receive a bill from the time the worker last came to the house until October. At that time, late fees had been applied. I had been reaching out  to the owner to try to resolve the poor job and verify that he would not be charging me the full remainder. He had knowledge that I had to hire a company to come in to save the sod.

      He and his worker acknowledged the poor job at the time but then stopped replying to communication efforts. 

      I just don't want others to experience the poor work. I will work to warn others by sharing pictures.

      I requested a quote for my yard mulch from Dedicated Turf & Landscaping. Below is what I wanted:1. Remove the old mulch 2. Put a weed barrier 3. Put new red much on the top of weed barrier They agreed to do the job as I mentioned and asked for a $625 in doing the job.They did not do anything what is agreed upon. Rather, they put some cedar mulch partially in my yard and we were very upset. I eventually told them to give me a call so that I can make them understand what I actually want, and we will be in the same page. They did not call me and put the cedar mulch partially in my yard. It looks ugly and they ruined my yard which I need to clean up and it will take some extra money. I contacted them regarding this and requested them to do what I wanted and what was agreed upon. I eventually told them if you need extra money doing the job the way I wanted and give me an estimate. But they did not agree to do the job the way I wanted and left. They charged me $625 which is very frustrating because they did not do the job correctly the way I wanted.What I want is:1. Either do the job the way I wanted, and they agreed upon and I am also willing to pay some extra money for that because the yard looks ugly and needs to be cleaned up.OR 2. Give my money back as they did not do the job correctly and we are very upset. They eventually made my wife cry.

      I spoke to ************* and got to the bottom of the problem, He didnt realize red cedar mulch isnt all red.  I have since cleared this up and will be removing mulch and replacing with dyed black mulch. A weed barrier needs to be put down before mulch like he requested our employee did not do that.***** is happy we have all the confusion cleared up. It will be taken care of this week.
