We feel an obligation to share with the public facts about dealing with this company. My wife and I were putting an offer on a newly constructed home and asked our real estate agent who the home builder was. Our agent emailed me the name of a home builder, along with a link to that builder's website. She told me that this home builder was an award-winning, reputable builder who built homes all over the area. She told me she talked with the builder and that they allegedly reported they loved building our home. Our agent explained that if we purchased this home, the warranty would protect us should anything happen with the home. We relied upon her representations and purchased the home. Unfortunately, shortly after moving in, we discovered many deficiencies in the construction of our new home. We eventually learned that the construction of our home was started by an individual who was recently released from prison, having been sentenced to 14 years for real-estate fraud. The builder who took over and finished construction of the home has built no other homes, has zero reviews and zero awards. He confirmed in writing that he would not fix the problems with our house. We learned that the warranty we were provided would not cover any of the repairs. We subsequently discovered that the seller's real estate agent provided our agent with the correct builder's name but our agent never disclosed his identity to us. Our agent eventually admitted that she "never got around to" calling the builder she said had constructed our home. Had our agent disclosed the identity of the true builder, we would NEVER have bought this house. We incurred significant costs to remediate the home. We tried to resolve our claims with this company and broker, but they have refused to recognize responsibility for our problems with the home. We hope that you learn from our unfortunate situation and do not make the same mistake we did.
