Company attempted to get money from the wrong person. I am ***** ******** ***..they addressed this collection letter to ***** *******.

      Business response

      12/14/2022

Thank you for notifying us of the complaint filed.  We have investigated and below are the results of the investigation.

On December 6th, a medical provider, creditor, placed 6 accounts in bad debt for services between 4/22/22 through 11/7/22 on a minor child.  The subsequent notice sent to Mr. ******* was confirmed as an exact name and address match to the records sent by the creditor.

Investigating their notes on the account identifies Mr. ******* received their statements.  He contacted them on 10/27/2022 to verify insurance was properly filed.  The debts were confirmed by the client and no personal payment was made and no payment plan was set up.  The address, telephone number and email address residing on the client system for “***** *******” is associated as the responsible party for the debt and all elements match the information provided in this complaint.
In addition, we viewed the insurance card scanned into their system and the identifying information shows his name as ***** ******* II and the remaining identifying information also matches the client file..  If there is an issue of identity theft, we would need copies of documentation indicating notifications were made to proper authorities to provide our client, ********** **********.

The notice our firm mailed Mr. ******* contains instructions in the event the consumer has a dispute with the debt.  To date, we have received no call or correspondence indicating a dispute.  As the debts for a minor child are the responsibility of both parents, we will also request a copy of the outstanding debts to be sent to the mother.

Mr. ********* request for no further contact on this matter will be honored, but it will not change the balance due to the client.
Our firm takes complaints seriously.  Fortunately, we receive very few and this one rang a bell.  During this investigation we identified a similar complaint filed with BBB #******** by Mr. ******* in 2018.

Please let me know if you need any further clarification.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This in no way means I find factual their assertions. That this business chooses to do business with a discredited organization like ******** is an indicator that they support highly questionable business practices.

I will continue ignoring interactions from this collection agency and reporting their unethical cooperation with unethical businesses whenever they threaten harm to my credit rating.

      Sincerely,

      ***** ******* **

3/2/2022- Representative from HRS called me on my personal work number which was not advised to do. My calls at work are recorded for quality and training purposes and are review weekly. The representative provided my personal information on a work recorded line they had no business calling. I repeated multiply times I was at work and could not speak about this issue yet the representative continue to talk. I then call HRS on my personal cell phone which they proceeded to inform me that have tried to reach out to me several times which I have no voicemails for and sent me letters via mail which was never received. They do have my correct address. Point of this complaint is them calling my work number on a recorded line which is for business use only NOT personal use and when telling the HRS representative I could not speak she continued.

Thank you for notifying us regarding the concerns expressed by Ms. ******.  I have investigated the history on the accounts placed here by the creditor.  The payment arrangement went into default in January and multiple messages were left on the phone number provided by the client but no response.  Our clients require us to make every effort to contact their delinquent accounts by telephone or mail.  It was not our intention to cause alarm or embarrassment.  We are simply trying to determine the cause for default, and make arrangements for payment to our client.

Ms. ****** indicated she did not have a record of the 3 calls made since the defaulted payment.  We believe this is due to recent changes in the telecommunication industry that is causing calls to be blocked by the carriers and the consumer has no idea we are trying to reach them.  This is not known to us until speak to the consumer.  The result of this issue makes it more likely that other phone numbers are attempted, in order to make the necessary contact to resolve a financial matter.

The file has been marked to prevent any further contact as requested.  We will note the remaining accounts and return it to the client for evaluation and review.  Our apologies to Ms. ****** for any unintentional distress caused by our outreach.

      Sincerely,

      ****** ******

Thank you for notifying our agency of the confusion with the accounts for this consumer.  We verified with the creditor that the balances outstanding are still due and match the amount sent on our notice.  The investigation does not indicate Mr. ******* has made any attempt to reach our office, respond to our calls and letters, or contact the creditor per their records.   It is difficult to determine any discrepancy with his records as they were not provided.

If Mr. ******* has evidence he has not been credited for payments by the provider, he would need to contact them directly to clear up any discrepancies.  Our office would be happy to assist if he would call during normal business hours.  Please let me know if you need any additional information.
