      I am writing because you have ignored my emails and phone calls regarding your company's burial of the ******** ***** water meter in my front yard when your company laid sod. As you know, on September 2, K&S Lawn Maintenance laid bluegrass sod (purchased from ***********) at a cost of $3,800 in my front yard. On November 24, ******** ***** sent a service man to my house because ******** ***** was unable to read the water meter. The service man determined that the meter was buried and the antenna needed to read water usage was damaged. Accordingly, on that date the service man found and dug up the water meter and determined that it had been buried by approximately 6 inches. This left a huge and dangerous hole in the yard and required repair to bring the water meter in line with the yard grade. This repair could be done by regrading the lawn and resodding the area around the water meter to the proper lower grade. As you know I sent many emails to you at ******************************** and also called your office on several occasions regarding this matter. I also emailed the enclosed pictures of he dug up meter showing the condition. (Note that I also have pictures of the lawn and water meter prior to the sod being laid; evidence that the meter was not buried and was at proper grade before you commenced work). As you know, you have ignored all of my emails and calls requesting that your company contact me regarding regrading and resodding the water meter area. Because you did not respond to my emails, first sent on November 24, or calls commencing November 29, I had to manage repairs through ******** *****. Their approach is to dig up a substantial amount of the yard and raise the entire meter. Attached is a picture of the work underway. As you can see, this has destroyed approximately 1/3 of the front lawn. I would like you to provide me an agreement to commit to replace the damaged sod (at proper grade) as soon as weather permits and sod is available in the Spring (March or April 2022). The sod must match (Kentucky Bluegrass preferably from **********). Time is of the essence. I must hear back from you by December 30. If i don't, I will receive quotes from other companies to do the work and will seek reimbursement from you.
