In June 2022 Finish Line Car Wash opened a new location in Cape GIrardeau. We visited for a wash. The attendant told my wife and I that instead of purchasing a single wash, we could purchase a 1 month promotional package for unlimited washes for $25, so that we could try the service. To make it recurring we should come back after the month was over and sign up for the recurring service and authorize the monthly debit. The carwash initially worked well, so we took our other vehicle and purchased another 1 month promotional package. However, after a couple of weeks, the carwash was having mechanical problems and we could hardly ever get our vehicles washed. We had gotten a couple of washes on each vehicle so we decided to let the promotion expire and eventually found a different carwash. I took both stickers off the windshield as the new carwash used a license plate scanner. 9 months later, I discovered that the carwash was debiting my checking account $25 monthly. I went to the carwash to seek a refund since I had not used the carwash at all. I was told by the manager that contrary to what the attendant had told me, the wash packages were all recurring when purchased unless cancelled. I indicated that I had purchased two promotional monthly packages but only one became recurring. She cancelled the package and said for me to contact the company for any other resolution. I contacted my bank and filed a complaint. They contacted the carwash but eventually said that they could not refund the money. I contacted the company directly by email and was told that all the washes were recurring and they would not refund my money. I indicated that I had purchased 2 separate promotional packages for 1 month each and that instead of both cancelling as per what I was told, they kept deducting the money from my account. So that leads me to this complaint. This was false advertising to attract new business. I am owed $250.

I went through the car wash October 4. They said it would be $10 and said if I wanted to pay $5 more i could go through as many times as I wanted that month, I said okay. They then charged me $17.99 a month through February and charged me $90 total. When I noticed it when they charged me twice in February. I called them and explained what I was told and filed a complaint with them. They didn&#**;t give me any paperwork or anything. I called again in April and got no response. I called again today and they told me I signed up for a recurring membership. I said no I did not. I only went through one time.

On 5/1/23 I went through their car wash and the shimmy broke the antenna off of my car. I let them know immediately afterwards and they filed a claim. They also took pictures of the damage. On 5/17/23 I received an email from the ***************** stating they were not responsible for the damage because the vehicle was more than 10 years old. I have a 2022 ***** Trailblazer so I&#**;m unsure why the damages are not covered for my vehicle.

I bought a month and a half of car washes. I was told my card would not be billed for any washes after that. I didn't know when my washes expired. I got billed $29.99 this month. I called to cancel but they wouldn't refund my money. I believe I paid in November or December. My statement in January got billed.

On July 18th, 2022 around 5:30pm, employee (Mr. **************************** at the Finish Line Car Wash, ************** ** location negligently forgot to disengage the dryer drum at the end of the wash cycle which resulted in said dryer drum hooking under and irreparably damaging a roof carrier and roof rack caps on a 2017 Audi Q7 owned and operated by ***************** LLC. Mr. *************************** admitted this to myself after the damage stating "I did not realize there were two buttons that I needed to hit to disengage the dryer". Approximately one week prior to this incident, the very same 2017 Audi Q7 with the very same roof carrier and roof rack caps was successfully able to be washed at the very same car wash location without incurring any damage because the employees at that time correctly disengaged the dryer drum at the end of the wash cycle. Cost to replace both, roof carrier and roof rack caps are $1538.91. To date Finish Line Car Wash refuses to accept financial responsibility for this damage claiming there was no equipment malfunctioning and that their general disclaimer posted at the entrance indemnifies them from negligence by their employees. ***************** LLC wishes to settle this amicably without having to resort to legal measures but is getting nowhere with its requests to resolve the incident, despite several phone calls and emails.
