5/11/2022 *****, owner of Hood Technologies Fire Safety Inc. Came out to install a 6 foot hood and exhaust fan on our food trailer. It ran him in to the night hours not sure if that's why he didn't complete the job but he seemed to be kind of in a rush. But he showed me standing inside the trailer the hood range was up (noticeably seeing the screws were kind of slanted and not straight up), but told me everything was bolted and sturdy. And everything on top of the trailer was bolted and sealed and only thing he didn't do was run the electric which was agreed on. He also mentioned because we were expecting rain the next day or so, that if it rained he would come out and reseal the fan. So after all of that which he seemed kind of in a rush, talking fast trying not to answer or seemingly not wanting to answer any questions, we concluded the night. I paid him ****** in cash in which was quoted and they left. The next day we got some rain, I texted ***** and implied that the hood was leaking. He responded and said, that he would come by and seal it, but it's best to do it on a dry day. So a few days later we had some sun but never heard from him, so I texted him and asked when would be a good day for him to come reseal being it's been sunny and between ***** degrees. Never heard anything. So a few days later we began to move the trailer and noticed it wobbling at the top, come to find after getting up on the roof that the exhaust fan had been glued down which has slid, and was NOT bolted at all. The job is unfinished and they spent most of their day out eating lunch and waiting till it became dark to ******* me in to thinking they completed the job. I feel cheated and as a Fire Safety company you would think Safety would be their top concern and number 1 priority. I would of been out alot of money if that fan would have fell off the top while on the road. Now I have to hire someone else to finish the work he didn't complete. Not professional at all!
