I had the pleasure of working with Designer Surface Systems to install a custom metallic epoxy floor in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, the experience was exceptional.First and foremost, the installation team demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and expertise. The crew arrived on time, with their equipment and materials, and worked all day. It is my strong opinion *****, her husband ************************* and the son *********************** are a complete scam job! *****, ************ took $2400.00 pressing for 1/3 down, 1/3 for the next day & cashed both checks the first night, before changing the contracted price the following morning what could we to do but agree to a new price, we were already invested? Finally, **** the son STOLE the product after we didnt agree on the color accuracy as described from their vendor that we had PREpaid ***** for in advance to her personal Venmo. This all happened while **** said he would call ***** about the issue because it was relayed that I had sent my custom color with color enhancement 3 hours apart and was in my error. Which I showed **** in person I have time stamped text on my iPhone this was not the case. I had to leave in the midst of this while he was going to call *****. I return to my home within 20min to find them abandoned the job and took the flake. I called **** and ***** several times with no answer and left voicemails with no return calls just a text from ***** with no resolution and extremely unprofessional responses coupled with I can finish the job myself since I was so smart. What seemed he was so upset about is that I called the manufacturer to educate myself on the enhancement glitter that they had bought to rectify the misplaced order was in fact not the same quality and visual aesthetics from the manufacturer. All the while to come to find out the custom flake I had ordered was changed to fill the order to make up for the enhancement not placed to which changed the color variation. All this was verified with the manufacturer as to what was delivered to the area distributors *******************************. I sent the screen shots directly to ******** their vendor that were time stamped of the exchange between ***** for my order and ********* Representative said this is not the order that was requested by Designers Surface Systems. I got scammed for $2400 and no floor.

Any perceived lack of response may have been influenced by a confrontational and unprofessional attitude toward our crew.Additionally, it's essential to note that the square footage of the job significantly exceeded what was originally included in the bid. In accordance with normal business practice, the bid was appropriately adjusted to reflect this change in square footage.We uphold a commitment to professionalism and client satisfaction. WARNING! They will require full payment before the finish product is installed and will leave you with an incomplete/poor finish product. Then stop returning your messages. They applied the epoxy too thin & there were several bare spots with NO epoxy in the middle of the floors, just primer. There were also a handful of blemishes, debris in the epoxy, spots where the color was not blended, etc. After realizing this we reached out to them & asked if these areas would be fixed. This is when it all fell apart, the repairs only made the floor worse! 1. In the low spots, they just poured blobs of ***** white epoxy in the spots, that stand up off of the floor & are 100% more noticeable than before. 2. The color of the repair blobs do not blend into the floor at all, & they never expressed this concern to us beforehand, or we would have opted to not have them make the repairs.3. There are still bare spots (some as large as 4) that still have ZERO epoxy on them. Just primer on bare concrete! After sending the photos to them, requesting that he come review the issues, he replied with Low viscosity epoxy cannot be feather edged or skimmed. It will just look like a bigger patch. The floor being white exaggerates these imperfections. So there really isnt anything else to do". "If youd like it re poured let me know and Ill get a quote for you." "Re pouring the floor is always an option but its expensive." "Sorry you are disappointed.We never expected the repairs to look worse, and still have bare spots with ZERO epoxy as the finish product. To then be ignored by them and stuck with an incomplete floor. Lastly, they blocked us from their FB page after the repairs were made, so we could not leave a review. Take my advice & hire a different contractor, with verified reviews. We now must take action & hire another company to finish the floors correctly. I would share photos, if I could. We just want the finish product that we paid for!

In response to your message; myself, my wife and our attorney have attempted to contact you via email, text and phone. To-date we have not received a response from you. The final phase was not approved by us in writing; we had to pay you cash before the epoxy floors were completed. You are correct, there are significant issues. The floor was poured too thin, there are spots with NO epoxy, and because it was installed incorrectly there are areas of the floor that are now chipping up. We have had 3 other epoxy companies review the floors and they all have confirmed that your installation was not done properly (likely there was no vapor barrier and the epoxy was extremely too thin). They have all advised that the floor needs to be totally torn up and redone. I cannot express the level of inconvenience this has caused us. You say that you would like the opportunity to investigate this matter thoroughly. However, after sending you photos of the deficiencies, you have never returned to review our floors. My wife sent you another email on 6/19/24, requesting that you contact us to schedule a time for you to review the condition of our floors, so the corrections can be made. We are awaiting a response from you and for you to rectify the situation.

We decided to get our basement floor epoxied so it would be kid proof and pet proof. I LOVED Designer Surface System's presentation by *************************! Very thorough and explained the process and the different designs so well.The install team was amazing as well! Very prompt, very polite and very professional guys! I had no concern about running errands while they tended to my basement. ****, the install team manager, explained what they would be doing the 2 days that his team would be working. They were polite, neat, organized and prompt.Its been a long time since I could give a company 5 stars, but it was well deserved by this crew. Hoping to have them back next fall to do our garage floor.

Complete bait and switch by **** and *****.Scam.They poured epoxy without tape against my carpet, *****************. They poured around objects instead of moving them.There was tons of chunks and debris sticking out.Didn't seal it. Never came back to remove tape, clean up, etc

The wife and I wanted a unique look for our downstairs bar/lounge area and saw these epoxy floors so we got estimates from a few local companies. After going over the different options we decided on Designer surface systems because of their fair price. The representative we spoke to was very knowledgeable about the process and answered all our questions. When our installation started we met with **** who managed our project from start to finish. He and his crew were clean cut and professional, on time too. I appreciated that we were asked to sign off on each phase of the work as it was completed, something I have never seen with all the contractors I have worked with. The floor was completed on time so the rest of the bar work could resume. Overall, it was a good experience and we would definitely choose this company again.

Designer Surface Systems will ruin your floor like they did mine. Several points of incompetence. No moisture test, not ground down enough, didn't even grind their own patches. Can see trowel marks, pebbles, dirt, protruding concrete, uneven, looks like a lake with white caps. Didn't vacuum between coats. They just simply did a horrible job for such a simple task. They took my money and ran. The lead man and I both agreed they need to come back and repair it. I called to find out information and they blocked my calls and texts. A WARNING ?? TO ALL....DO NOT HAVE DESIGNER SURFACE SYSTEMS TOUCH YOUR FLOOR!!!

If I could give them a 0 rating I would have. On October 2, 2023 Designer Surface Systems came to our home and did a terrible job to our beautiful homes lower level area. My husband and I tried and tried to have the company to come out and fix the problem, but they refuse. I have so many pictures, texts and emails. We paid $3000 in cash to receive hair, insects, holes, white spots, paint on our walls and on the dried epoxy floor. There is so much dust in our beautiful home, and a piece of wood off our stairs that was left on our window sill with dirt and dust. The project manager is extremely rude to us. After calling the company and project manager to have someone come out to the house to see the bad job, the project manager told us "It'll take an hour to come there. What do you think I do ride around all day." When we mentioned a lawyer, he said we threatened them. We only wanted what we paid for because our floor doesn't look like the pictures we saw on their site. They also should tell customers to get new boarders if you have carpet taken up. Now we have an opening and will have to get larger size base boarders so it can touch the floor. Folded the carpet back with no transition from new floor to family room, bedroom, and unfinished area. We refuse to pay another company to come out and fix the mess they left behind. I was texted the other day that they can come out in the early afternoon, but we where at work. So this was an attempt to come back out. The job took 3 days. We lost money once. We could have been called days prior so we could have made the time possible. Who can just leave their job. If you don't like your job, then find another profession. Just don't want this to happen to anyone else. Today is October 14. 2023 and our lower level still looks the same. They refuse to fix the mess.
