Around may of 2023 I used Parkland Pest to exterminate bugs. First of all the owner told me herself the full price for the service is $750. The treatment consisted of 2 visits and that they would guarantee the extermination for 30 days. Now she wants to collect $1500 and there were still bugs within 30 days of the 2nd spray and now the owner is stating there is no guarantee. Furthermore she took money off of my boyfriends credit card to get her payment, which is linked to another account totally without permission. When I contacted her about her illegally charging his account she stated it had been past 30 days and she can not refund his card. She states that his card is on file with my business, which would be impossible since I set my account up and don't have his card number. She only has his card number from servicing his business.Business response

We have serviced this facility 9 times in the last 1 year and 8 months for the same issue since the boyfriend/fiancé originally contacted us, set up the account and scheduled the first service. We have always had a fee per service and this has been discussed with the client and her boyfriend on more than one occasion. This type of treatment recommends a follow up 2-3 weeks after initial treatment with proper preparation. The only way to “guarantee” a treatment, especially this type of concern in a residential facility, is by treating monthly for an extended amount of time and the facility being properly prepared for the treatment every time. There is a monthly fee for this type of service. As it was explained in our email correspondence yesterday, after our initial phone call and prior to the posting of this complaint, I was in contact with the credit card company on resolution assistance since the transaction was over 30 days old. I had responded to this client, via email same day, with the response of being able to refund the card transaction and asked how this now past due amount of $750 will be paid, but have not received a response at this time.
