I bought a car from Travers Motor City on 12/27/23. The car was leaking fluid around the drivers tire. I brought the car to a dealership that makes the car. the sway bar boots were torn, and pushing pout grease, the front struts were leaking fluid, and the fuel line needed to be replaced. The cost of this came to $2,908.00. The dealership said the car was in need of maintence. It also needed an oil change, transition flush, brake fluid exchange, cabin air filter, engine air filter , spark plug replacement which came to $2137.68. For a total of $5,527.97. I texted ****** auto right a way. They said it was not their responsibility . This was all maintence. I called the manager the next day. He said there was nothing they were going to do. I look Travers Motor City up in the BBB before I went there. They have a good rating. This seems like a buy as is, and that was not the deal.

I totaled my car In August I went back to Travers Motor City to get another car and I did immediately my credit score was near 700. What I didn’t know was the first payment was due 15 days after getting it per the leader, so i defaulted and first payment was not received, my contract was voided and they refused to return my deposit saying this was a lender buy back. I have the original contract and the deposit I paid and what’s on the documents don’t match. In addition I was provided with another piece of paper alleging I signed but when I got home and looked in my signed original documents that paper is not present. The paper was alleged to say if the deal didn’t go through I forfeited my deposit. They produced a piece of paper that day but not the original. They refused to let me pay the past due stating the lender didn’t want to do the deal but the lender is saying otherwise. Now my score has dropped tremendously, they want to redo the loan double my interest rate. When I asked for my deposit back and to walk away they refused. My credit score is now less than 500 and it shows I’m financially responsible for this car. Travers refused to provide proof they paid the lender back for the loan in my name and I have no documentation saying I’m no longer financially responsible. This is a nightmare.

My name is ***** and I am the Sales Manager here at Motor City Auto Sales. Mr. ******* purchased a vehicle from us on September 4, 2021. This was his second vehicle purchase from us with the same lender, Westlake Financial. Mr. *******'s first payment was due on October 19, 2021 (45 days after date of sale). I have attached the Retail Installment Contract that Mr. ******* signed. I have also attached the buyers order that showed Mr. ******* would pay us $2000 for a down payment and Mr. ******* only paid half. The conditional delivery agreement that Mr. ******* signed also states that we can charge $50 a day or $1.00 per mile driven by the purchaser. Mr. ******* put 9,081 miles on the vehicle in the 3 months that he had it. Technically he owes us $8,331 for the mileage and a redetail, but we only charged him the $1000 that he put down as down payment. I have attached the check we had to write to Westlake Financial because Mr. ******* failed to pay for his vehicle and we had to repurchase it. Mr. ******* brought the vehicle back to us and signed a release of the vehicle and we tried to help him get into another car but his credit had dropped from not making payments on his vehcile, it was nothing that we had done. If Mr. ******* has any questions, he can call us at ************.

On October 23rd of 2021 I went to Travers Motor City on Dunn road to purchase a vehicle. I arrived shortly after they opened and was greeted by ****** (**** *** *****) who assisted me with filling out my credit application. I waited for eight hours straight and had to call in to work to be "approved" by a bank. Finally after patiently waiting, we test drove a silver 2019 nissan rogue that i absolutely loved. Once i agreed to purchase the car we went inside to sign some papers with *** to finalize everything. After signing the papers **** asked if i would take a picture for his facebook page then i left. On October 29th of 2021 ****** sent me a text asking me to call him stating that hehad "good news'. When i returned the call the stated that i needed to come back to Travers Motor City to re-sign some of the paper work because bank had made a misstake and that my car payment would be lower. I arrived at 9 am and stayed until 12pm waiting for him to gather paper work for me to sign. This paper work stated that my car payment would be 479/month instead of 522/month. Fast foward to November 3rd of 2021 someone by the name of ***** ******* called me asking if i had talkd to ****, stating that the bank did not approve my loan and that i needed to return the car that day and that i would be able to choose another car for a lesser price. I told him that i would just like my money back and paper work stating that i would not be charged for the 25,000 loan and he insisted that i come in with my co-signer or even by myself in which i declined. I am now out of three thousand dollars and a car which seems pretty sketchy to me and i would like more professional help because i feel as though i am being scammed. I would just like my money back that i paid as a down payment in CASH/DEBIT and money for the insurance that i already paid for on the car.

I bought a car here a month ago. I specifically asked them if I would get my $500 deposit back if I was not qualified for the loan. He said "Yes". Now HE didn't tell me what information I needed to give to him until the last minute, so the bank denied the loan. They took my car and said I was not going to get my money back. Now they are ghosting my phone calls.
