We called ***** and he came over to the house. We asked him to drop four trees, but to leave the wood because we needed the wood for my wife's mothers outdoor stove. He offered to grind down one *****. We said fine and he understood, we thought, to just leave the wood.He said he would call when he was coming over. He never did, he just showed up. He cut three of the trees into sections but left the walnut tree fairly intact, we didn't think anything of that. The next day he finished the job, but my wife got home first and saw the 8 or 10 foot walnut trunk was gone.I asked him, when he came over to get the equipment, about the tree trunk and he said yeah, he took it and that's what he usually did if he liked a particular tree for himself. I told him I want it back, we were going to use it as firewood, he was to drop only, like we agreed. He said okay, do you want me to bring it back? I said yes. Then he offered two or three oak trunks to replace it. I foolishly said that would be fine. Hey, three trunks? Why not, more wood, that was the point. He only brought one trunk, cut short and not very good quality. He had also offered, before this when we had him stop by, some ash he had cut down. He never brought it out, and my 70 some year old mother in law waited for him to show up. I would NEVER recommend this guy's service to anyone.
