BBB complaint of ****** and ***** Klausner of Klausner Construction Signed a contract for remodeling March 2021, paid half at contract signing, just shy of $6000.Waited months and heard nothing, finally contacted ****** Klausner in May 2021, and scheduled start date of May 18, 2021. ****** called on May 18, 2021 said he was too sick to start job.I texted several times for updates, how he was doing....Never received any returned communication.I finally texted him Friday July 16, 2021 3pm and threaten legal action if I heard nothing by Saturday, July 17, 2021 6pm or I would "take necessary steps to insure you do respond...." ****pm Saturday July 17, 2021, ***** Klausner called me, found out was ******* son. Informed me they would start my remodeling job the following Monday and would have his dad call me to schedule start. Never showed or contacted me and ****** never informed me no one would show.The following week I was informed they would show Thursday, July 29, 2021 and finally decided to show and start the job.Over the next 3 ************************ and ***** only showed a total of 5 actual work days; only 1 of those 5 days was a full work day. During those 3 weeks neither contacted me to inform me of any day they would or not show up.After the 3 week period, the next 12 days, ****** nor ***** showed up, or attempted to notify me they were apparently walking away from the job as I never hear word one from either.I finally had to FIRE Klausner and hire a new contractor, Kens Home Improvement, who turned out to be just as bad.I want $4000 returned to me that ****** and ***** Klausner robbed me of cause in no way did they ever complete even $2000 worth of work and materials of the $6000 I paid.Absolutely WORST, most disgusting experience I had the displeasure of experiencing in my entire life.I would rate them an F minus to the 25th degree.AND I WOULD NEVER GIVE THIS COMPANY EVEN A 1 RATINGCustomer response

Those ignorant morons never bothered to communicate with me when they were stealing my money.....so this is exactly the response I expected from them......NOTHING WHAT SO EVER.....
Guess I will now have to *** them.....

In September of 2019, we contracted with Klausner Construction to complete an egress window in a basement bedroom, as well as drywall for that room. The work was not completed to code or in accordance to the specifications on the permit. The area has since flooded multiple times and the remediation has required extensive repair to the house foundation. Remediation and damages from flooding have exceeded $25,000. I reached out the owner, ****** ********, on 11/30/19, 12/1/19, and 3/18/21 but he has not assisted in any remediation or flood repairs
