The bathrooms were painted on July 19, 2022. **** Price of Price Painting painted 3 of my bathrooms. 1 month after the job was completed, the original paint started to bleed through. I reached out to **** through text on August 16th. I sent him pictures of the bathroom and he didn't respond. When I called, he asked if he primed my walls and I told him that I didn't know but I paid for primer(in the contract). He said he would get with his paint guy and call back. Weeks passed by and I didn't hear anything back. I continued to call, text and send pictures as the walls were getting worse as time passed. He would reach each text, as it has read receipts. He would make appointments and not show. His most recent promise to stop by was supposed to be May 15, 2024. Still know show, his contract states he is insured and guarantees all work.

I am rejecting this response because:

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally decline the check offered for the paint that should have been utilized during the paint job completed on July 19, 2022.

Upon noticing issues in all three bathrooms, I contacted you on August 16, 2022, and sent photographs illustrating the problems. During our phone conversations, you repeatedly asked whether the walls had been primed. I informed you that I was charged for that service and assumed it had been done. You scheduled multiple appointments to review the situation, but as time progressed, the paint issues worsened, and I continued to send you updated pictures. I have confirmation that you read each of my messages.

Despite reaching out for over a year, you did not visit my home to resolve the issue. On May 29, 2024, at 8:51 am, you called to acknowledge receipt of a complaint from the Better Business Bureau. During this call, you apologized and admitted that you had neglected to follow through on your commitments.

It appears that your response was prompted solely by the complaint.

You visited my home on May 30th and attributed the "bleed through" to water being splashed on the walls by children or guests. After inspecting all the bathrooms, you conceded that a stronger paint, such as Dulux, should have been used due to a moisture problem. You then promised to contact your paint supplier and follow up with me. However, after waiting an additional four days without resolution, I had to hire another painter to address the issue.

Your offer of a check to cover the cost of paint is unacceptable.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************
