      On or about last week of June West County Irrigation came to my residence to change out 3 working water valves that the company owner, **** ******* indicated were but still working. He recommended preventative maintenance to avoid any problems later in the season. *** ******* sent his son to do the work & he literally spent all day trying to rewire the valves in which he could not get it working. Shortly after that *** ******* showed up with his son to show him how to properly install the updated valves. They spent a couple hours trying to get it to work & indicated to my wife & I that he is going to have to retrench the watering system in order to get it to work which is over 125 ft. In length. West County Irrigation did not show up several weeks later to complete the job. At that juncture I started making calls to *** ******* on a weekly basis to ask when he would complete the installation. To date I have never gotten a return phone call after trying to contact him dozens of times. I have recently sent him a demand email basically begging him to complete the job by November 1. I have yet to get a return phone call or email from him. That being said I am asking the BBB to help me out in getting satisfaction.

      RE: **** *******  Was recommended to replace 35+ year old valves in rear yard , that was done & not charged for repair as wiring from garage is bad. *** ******* was told verbally of this on June 27th. 

      and new wire would have to be run , we never heard from him again . My son does not work here and tech on site has 4 plus years in industry, parts for this system old of a system are very hard to find . Until BBB reached out to us on Nov. 3 this was the first we have heard of this issue . As **** did not respond from call made by us on June 29th .

      I am rejecting this response because:

      1. *** **** ******* is making up lies and that is extremely unprofessional.  *** ******* is saying that I never called him.  That is an out and out lie.  He told me that the number I was calling was not his.  I had my wife call from another number & he answered.  That was lie #1

       

      2.  **** told me that there were 3 water valves that he wanted to replace.  That seemed very odd to me since the 3 water valves were in working condition.  I reluctantly gave him the ok to do the work even though he said it would be $500.  For your information the valves cost about $35 each.  These valves were all in perfectly good working order and he sent a young inexperienced worker to do the work.  The technician spent a few hours putting the valves in & struggled to get them rehooked up with electricity.  *** ******* came by my property about 5:00 pm & asked the technician why it was taking so long to do.  The technician obviously was not hooking up the wires correctly.  ** ******* said he would be back the next day & have the problem fixed. Once again another lie was given. That was in early June of this year.  I have made several attempts to contact *** ******* & he ignored my calls.  In his report he said that I never called. Which is another lie being told to the BBB.  I have documentation on text messages sent to him  that I will send under separate cover if needed.

      3.  It is now the 2nd week of November & only after contacting the BBB did he make contact with me.  When he did all I was asking him to do was finish the job he started.  He responded by saying that I had bad wiring & it needed to be replaced.  He called Missouri You Dig & had flags & arrows placed in my front yard to locate underground utilities & wiring.  

      4. When his technician came out they indicated to me that it was not necessary to dig a trench that I was told needed to be done by *** *******.  This may or may not have been a way to bill me for additional work. The technician within a couple hours rewired the valves properly & had the sprinkler system working once again.  They then blew out the lines to clear the water in preparation of cold weather and submitted a bill to me close to $900.  I told the technician to have *** ******* call me so we can discuss the bill.  

       

      5.  I called *** ******* & indicated I was confused why he is billing me more than the $500 that was agreed upon. Keep in mind this was to replace 3 valves that were in good working order.

      I told *** ******* that I have dealt with many contractors before & have had no problem working with each contractor.  But when they misrepresent & lie about what has transpired I take great exception.

      Everything has been corrected and  is in working order . and was blown out for winter . He was given a bill that was a lot less than the hours that it took to repair it . The job ran over time allowed due to finding parts . At this point his system is in working order . We were just waiting on conformation to procced with the repairs . All has been corrected now .
