I took my 1988 Mazda pickup to Goodfellaz in October, 2022 to have them restore it. They quoted me about 4200-6000 dollars to fix the truck. In December, after paying them over S10,000 dollars I asked them when my truck would be completed and how much more it would cost. I have an email from them that stated it would be done by the middle of January, 2023 at no more than 80 labor hours of $50.00 per hour or 44000 dollars. I inquired at end of January and again the third week of February after considerable more invested and was told another $2,000 and it would be ready March 1, 2023. I have emails from them stating these facts. However, March and April rolled by and after I paid $1000 of the agreed $2000 balance to finish, the business closed for over three weeks and when I finally got in touch with the owner, **** ****, he said he had "a $6,000 unpaid electrical bill and that it would be "several more weeks" before he would start on it again. I contacted my lawyer and he advised me to get my truck out of there before anything worse happened. It took me another two weeks to track down the owner and he was still not open and made arrangements for another person to meet my towing service and get the truck. Luckily, after all the lies and dishonesty, I got my truck back but it was not in good shape and not even near being completed. I have been lied to from the beginning and this fraudulent business should be held accountable. Since then, I have found out that they broke the back windshield, did not install the fuel line correctly, lost the turn signal blinkers, and purchased parts from another truck that they say I own, but I never signed any agreement to purchase the other truck and only found out about it when it showed up on an invoice after the fact. Not sure if the business has ever reopened as the last time I spoke with them the manager had left the firm and they were not open. I have requested a $6500 refund for overcharges beyond what I was told.
