*** did not finish the job we paid him for. He was supposed to remove and dispose of our old water heater and he did not take it the day he came out due to not having his truck. We were expecting him back the next day and he did not come to pick it up or reach out. I text *** Monday asking if he was coming back and his response was “ Yes as soon as I can get truck sir.” I asked when he would be able to get it and he said he was at the mercy of the shop. Wednesday I text him again saying I understand he is having car trouble but that we hired and paid him under the impression he was taking the water heater Saturday and said I don’t believe we should have paid what we paid since the job was incomplete. He told me to put the water heater in my garage and that he promised he would be back. I explained again that we hired and paid for the water heater to be removed Saturday and that we have made other arrangements to take care of it now and I asked for a refund of some sort. He asked how much, and said he will only return $50 of the $225 and explained that he drove an hour and said he was still coming. I asked for a $75 refund and offered the option of ***** for the refund since he already cashed the check I wrote. He declined and said $50 is fair. To settle this I replied that’s fine, and asked when he would refund. No reply. It’s now Friday, 6 days later and he did not pick up the water heater or refund me and has not replied in over 24 hours after I asked when he would refund me.Customer response
