April 13, 2023 I purchased an ********* to b* installed on my standard siz* patio doors I was told that I neededto pay half of the* total price* before* it would be ordered and that it would be installed in 4-6 weeks. The payment cleared my account on 4-14-2023…Amount 658.91. Th* only communication I received was an email requesting the total of 1308.91. I responded that I had paid half …they agreed and that was acceptable. I received no further communication. On July 6 I called and left a message inquiring about the shade. Got a return message saying that it had just arrived and that *** would be contacting me to arrange for installation. Today I again called and left a message and received a call back - during this conversation I heard that she showed that *** had me on his schedule for this week. I asked that the order be canceled…she told me she couldn’t cancel it. I told her I was not going to pay Shades of Cool anymore monies…she said she had no control over the situation, that it wasn’t her fault…after asking about picking up the phone and calling me to keep me informed she finally agreed that she could have **** that. I told her that I would contact the credit card company to file a claim…she told me that they would contact her and she would deny the reversal. I told her that was okay…I would still contact them and she’s got to live with her decision, I wasn’t going to give them anymore money…my opinion was that if I was having this much trouble initially I had no confidence* in the installation and the service* that I might require in the* future…she again told me she didn’t have any control over the* time. I told her to have* a good life… and called ***. Filed my claim.
