We contracted/hired Moving Kings to complete our move, which was scheduled for 06/29/2022. Upon arrival the team showed up in a rented ***** Truck, with what appeared to be rented equipment. This was not a professional moving company truck, nor did the staff have the proper equipment for moving. The 2 men crew informed me that they would have to make 2 trips because they couldn't stack stuff that high within the truck. The crew did not pack items properly. Several times I asked the crew why they were packing the way they were. They had our 6 top Dining Table upside down on the floor of the truck, which I have never witnessed this before. One of the crew members stated that he wasn't even a mover, that he actually worked in the office. This company was clearly not reputable what-so-ever. When they arrived to deliver our second load of items, they didn't even have the ramp in the correct position for removal of items. Our stuff kept falling off the truck and dolly. I finally spoke up and brought this to their attention. The movers didn't care about our items at all. During this time they told my neighbor who was a nurse and needed to leave, that she would have to wait. This is very unprofessional. The moving team didn't work efficiently at all. In the end we had several items scratched, etc. 2 items were completely damaged beyond use. I reached out to ******** *****. After several weeks of emailing back and forth she agreed to have a repair person come out to our home. After several attempts were made on my part to secure a time and date, the individual never showed up. ******** then agreed to just pay me for the items that were damaged. I have proof of such email which I'm including. To date, I have had no luck resolving my issue. This company failed to honor its word, it failed to act responsibly, it failed to stand behind its name. We want a full refund of our moving costs, because we were mislead by ******** ***** that the company was reputable and trustworthy.Business response

I had Moving Kings on a job dated 11/20/2022 between approximately 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm. During this time, MANY of my furniture items were broken and not discovered until I unwrapped the items that the movers had packed up. Pictures are attached, but my bed frame, antique speakers, antique/family heirloom cabinet/nightstand, and even the underneath of my couch was ripped by the movers. My mattress arrived with dirt marks that could have been avoided had they wrapped my bed in plastic as I had requested The mattress was also deformed as the movers used moving straps but failed to treat it with care and causing permanent creasing/lumps in the mattress. I, also, specifically told movers of the fragile/ANTIQUE items and even let them inspect items for the best tactic before they began moving furniture. Upon arrival at the drop-off location - Instead of telling me about the damages, the movers placed my items in a corner of my new apartment to hide the damages that THEY caused. On top of the careless recklessness that lead to the damage of over 70% of the items moved - the movers managed to break the freight elevator at the pickup location. This left a multitude of items still at my old address on the day of the move and an unfinished job. The movers were to call me back to come to finish the appointment the following day (as this was their fault), but never called; now Moving Kings (as a company) will not answer calls about my damaged items or the unfinished move job. I left multiple calls for both Associate Managers, ******** and *****, and am still waiting for a response. ******** responded by e-mail for a follow-up call and never reached back out via phone as asked. I also have items missing from the move that the Movers placed in the truck - a dog food bowl stand, shoe stands, screws from furniture (that Moving Kings removed), and large mirrors. Research your moving companies - I highly recommend All My Sons as they fixed the error caused by Moving Kings.Business response

There were many factors in *** ****** move that were out of control. We did not take apart the bed causing the damage to her bed rail. The fright elevator broke out of our control no fault of the movers who were on the job. She also had a 3-man crew vs a 2 man crew she was charged. She also disputed the charges on November 28th. We did not contest this dispute and the customer was awarded the chargeback in the amount of $653.76.Initial Complaint

*Suspicious stolen items* Moving Kings moved us 9/3/22. It took them 12 hrs to move a small 3 bedroom house. We noticed our missing video games box and inquired 12/16/22. After multiple calls they said they found the box and would deliver it the following day. Many calls and promises later, we finally received the box January 6th. After unpacking it we found a significant number of games missing- from specific gaming systems- all of which are worth money. I have been told by multiple staff members that our box was damaged and that they had to put it in a new one and that they were going to "look around" as some items had fallen out. This is very suspicious as 40 games, controllers could not have fallen out unnoticed. 1/9 I sent an email detailing every missing item. I received an email back that they would check on it, but have gotten nothing since. I would like our games back or compensation.Business response

We have tried to locate the missing items in questions. When we are busy it can be very hard to get the trucks checked in and sometimes it causes items to be left on the truck for any number of days. Anything can happen. When we did find the box, we saw that the box was crushed and barley intact and it needed to go into our missing items closet for customers to call and locate those items. Due to the timing of your move and the day we found the box on the truck there were a lot of customers that we moved in that timeline. Due to this we cannot call every customer we always recommend the customer calling us we get calls a lot regarding certain items and they always end up showing up in their home due to how crazy moving can be. We are sorry you feel this way, but we did try to look and see if there were any items that had fallen out of the crushed box and onto the floor there were not any items found after the initial drop off of the box.Initial Complaint

I paid Moving Kings over $1100 for a move on July 31, 2021. My moving agreement included basic insurance for damages based on the weight of the articles. The movers damaged 8 articles/pieces of furniture for which I submitted a claim totaling over $600 and I provided detailed photos of all the damages. I received acknowledgment from ***** that they were working on my damage claim 8/26/21. I never heard back from Moving Kings after submitting this, so I followed up with them 2 months later, and again most recently in July 2022 a year after the move. I have attempted to make contact via multiple emails and phone calls. The only response I received is they are “sending it over to *****.” This company does not honor their insurance or agreements and has made no effort to make the situation right. I have made costly repairs to my furniture and lost $325 of my security deposit because of the movers.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for the offer but this does not cover any of the damage to my furniture. Multiple pieces of furniture were damaged as shown in the attached claim and photos. You need to stand behind your insurance for all of the damage caused.

The Valuation coverage states the $2102 is based on ALL of your furniture meaning if every single piece were to be damaged beyond repair.

Thank you for responding, I am not wanting this issue closed. I am now dealing with a father with cancer.
This is what this company is hopeful of you finally giving up because in time your life has to take over. It has been a headache and hardship to commit to every month reaching out through emails or telephone.
This is what I have done now for over a year.
In August 2021 I finally just sent In pictures on my own behalf of damages. I could never get them to mail a damage report form to be
filled out.
September 13, 2021 they verified they had received the information I sent in. That was the last time I heard from them.
They sent me to voicemails, and had me fill out a damage form. Their document that they will not honor.
From the beginning of hiring this company they gave empty promises and have been untruthful. The quote given did not touch the almost double amount I paid.
They did property damage while moving, dropped items off their truck damaged several pieces of furniture that their policy contractually read .60 cents On the dollar to pay out.
I lost my security deposit for a home I lovingly cared for 3 years due to their negligence.
Moving Kings only offered reimbursement for my deposit and refused to honor their own policy for paying damages to my furniture.
It has been over a year now. If anything my request for payment should be higher for the aggravation and ignorance of this company.
The lies, deceit and noncompliance,
people Need to be aware of this and do not hire them!
I had to pay for the damages to my home with the loss of my security deposit and had to repair/replace items they damaged. This is their policy they are not honoring.
I have attached pictures of conversations.
They owe me what has been asked for plus 100.00 restitution for myself having to deal with this situation over a year.
Forget I will not , I work too hard for my money and do not want to be taken advantage by them anymore!
