      I purchased 2 chairs. I was able to take one with me, but had to order the other one. At first they told me to expect it in August. I called in August and they told me that it would be here in December. Well I thought it would be here by Christmas, but it did not arrive until New Years Eve. We went to get the chair and they had it all boxed up, sitting outside. We took it home without opening it on the premises. When we got it home it turns out that it is not the chair that I ordered, it is not even the right fabric. the company is insisting that it is the one I ordered and will not refund my money or give me the opportunity to exchange it. This chair cost $1050.00 and they are saying that I am stuck with it.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,
      Mr. ****** and his wife or daughter came into our store and picked out a Flexsteel chair and fabric to be ordered.  They were told it would be at least 8-12 months before the chair would arrive at our store due to industry back logs, covid, or shipping issues in the furniture business. Within a few months Mr. ****** called to see if his chair had arrived.  It was way too soon and of course the chair had not arrived so he wanted to cancel.  Our invoices clearly state that there are no returns or cancellations on special orders. A few months later he called again, we again checked on the chair and it was of course still too soon for the chair to have arrived.  The chair arrived the first part of January, we called Mr. ****** and he came to pick up the chair.  It was wrapped in plastic.  He asked if he could see the chair and if we would then put it in a box for him.  Our delivery men unwrapped the Flexsteel chair for him and put it in an empty La-Z Boy chair box for him.  Several days later he called and said the chair was not the one he ordered because the box had someone else's name on it, the numbers on the box didn't match up to his and that it was in a La-Z Boy chair box.  We explained to him and assured him that it was the chair and fabric he ordered and that he wanted it in a box so we used a La-Z Boy box since that Flexsteel chair only came with plastic wrap.  Mr. ****** got the correct chair in the correct fabric that his wife or daughter picked out.  
       Issues like these are unfortunate for retailers and customers alike.  These are trying times for both, as well, due to extended wait times for product all across the furniture industry, and as most of us know by now all due to covid, shortages of labor force, materials and shipping means.  With that said we do greatly respect the needs and concerns of our customers, but in turn we also deserve and expect ethical and fair comments or reviews concerning our business.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      He said it was supposed to be 8 - 12 months.  The lady that sold us the chair we were supposed to be getting would arrive in August.  He was not there when the salesperson told us this.  I would have never waited a year for a chair.  He said when the chair arrived it was wrapped in plastic, the chair was sitting in a box outside and it was not covered in plastic.  He said a delivery guy unwrapped it from us.  There was no delivery guy at his store.  It is not the color I ordered.  I picked out a different fabric.  It's a Flexsteel chair, but nothing matches the specs I ordered.  I have tried explaining that to them.  They keep trying to tell me it is, but it's not.  I would like the chair I originally ordered.  I hope they wouldn't make me wait another year for that chair.  I am willing to negotiate with them.  The person that responded to the complaint was not even there during this transaction.
