***** is rude she contacts me thru email to say how she can see when i login degrades me as a person like im stupid takes money out of account at random times emails random about how she seen i have money in account to take it. Tells me how other people got their money and they havent gotten theirs threatens to take away parts of account with them deposits money into account late so i get overdraft fees call and ask to remove them cant answer has someone else automatically say no cant do that. Call till i can talk to her tells me she feels bad but it makes her look bad for refunding fees so she wont. Life happens things come up people struggle have explained situation multiple times yet only concern is about "her" money and treats me as less of a person. Have paid 1000s in fees and interest, atleast be human have a little appreciation for the customer who gives you a job maybe use some of the bogus fees to pay on loan. Understand some are my fault but ridiculous when not and still treated like garbage and cant return them so doesnt look bad. laid off after 13 years move out of house to rent it to have money and struggling shouldve had rent the 1st of month dont get it till 12th 250 in fees that couldve been avoided just this month if everything was a perfect world as she assumes. Not the banks fault obviously but sure gonna be taking more money and treated like garbage taking money for loan after taking that much money in fees to "look good"Business response

Management has researched this compliant by contacting the employee named in the complaint. This employee has been with the credit union a long time. She has always acted professionally and the credit union has received few complaints over the many years she has been employed. This employee is known for going above and beyond to serve our members to the point that management has instructed her to scale back and follow guidelines more strictly. The complainant has been with the credit union about 20 years so we must have provided decent service since they remained with us all these years. During that time we have made many loans to this individual. They have struggled to make payments over the years. We have accommodated this member by continuing to lend to them and allowing multiple payment deferrals so that late fees could be avoided. Maintaining a sufficient checking account balance has also been a challenge for this member. Overdraft fees have been waived multiple times. This member has even been given the opportunity to make deposits after the checking account has gone insufficient in order to avoid fees even though policy states that the balance must be sufficient at the time withdrawals are attempted.
We believe this complaint stems from a recent incident where an overdraft situation resulted in multiple fees being charged. Due to the many previous concessions, we did not waive fees in this instance which greatly upset this member.
Great Plains Federal Credit Union has a long history of doing right by our members. We give back extra to our members in the form of loan interest rebates and bonus dividends. The credit union earns much less in fee income than most financial institutions. We regret that Mr. ****** fees he was mistreated but disagree with his narrative.
