On 05/19/23, Skyway knowingly sold me a lemon vehicle. Since this, the vehicle has been in to be serviced on multiple occasions from problems they admitted to knowing of but kept quiet according to *********************** in their service department. On 09/08/23, I contacted Skyway about another concern and they never returned my call. The vehicle then, once again, would not start. I took care of the issue through an outside services but again, contacted Skyway and was sent to voicemail with no return message. Now, 10 days later, the truck again will not start, and Skyway refuses to answer the phone to address my concerns. I was told by the Secretary that maintenance was available but once transferred, my call was sent to voicemail and no call back was received. I asked to speak with the general manager, *************************, and I was hung up on. We have now had the truck for 4 months, its been with Skyway for over a month of that time, and its been non-running for over a month of that time as well all due to prior known issues by their service team and general manager (*********************** and ***************************) that were not disclosed to us when purchasing the vehicle.Business response

I received the 2nd notice from the BBB regarding *************************** case #******** on Tuesday 10/3/23. Please note that the General Manager, ***************************, is no longer with the company.
It is my understanding that as recently as last Thursday, 9/28/23, we have been in communication with the customer regarding this issue. We have agreed to repair the vehicle at no cost to the customer. We have provided a loaner vehicle to the customer at no cost, to use while he waits on the repair. The part needed to complete the repair is a fuel pump control module. ************** does not have the part. We have checked with our other suppliers and they do not have the part either. We have started a **** case with **************, case #G03590461. Unfortunately, due to the current ************** strike we are unable to get an ETA on the part. We have agreed to provide the loaner vehicle and repair at no charge to the customer.
It is our understanding that the customer is in agreement with the resolution to this issue.

I bought a 2021 Buick Encore from Skyway Buick in ****** Last November. In April I noticed by accident that it would just die while I was driving 60+ miles an hour. At first I thought I was crazy, then I passed a car and I was doing 70 it died shut off and I it kept telling me to put in neutral and push the start button, it took me 3 tries before I could get going again all while the cars I passed where very upset that we had went to 40 miles ph. Very dangerous. I called Skyway and made an appointment. Of course he said that is not normal and when they did the check there was something wrong with the main computer and with a switch. They have had my new to me car for over 2 months and still no idea of when I will get it back. They cant get the part needed and Im sure I have uncovered a safety recall for them. I pay $500 a month payment and car insurance. They did give me a loaner but it is costing me more gas then my car. I have requested to trade with them on something different but they say I am upside down 6k. Well I had just refinanced to cut my interest rate in . So no I hadnt really paid much on it since I had only had it 5.5 months when this all happened. I did call Buick and they said they couldnt do anything for me until the situation was resolved and then I might get compensated!I have looked up laws about this and everything says anything over 30 days there is something that can be done.Business response

Skyway Buick GMC spoke with the customer, ***********************, regarding what we believe to be a fair resolution on 6/19/23. Skyway Buick GMC is waiting on a part that is on backorder to repair the customer's vehicle. We have provided her with a vehicle loaner in the interim, free of charge, while she waits for the backordered part and repair. Please see the attachment for our letter to the ******** ************************* as well as the repair work order, vehicle report, General Motor's evaluation tool, and documentation of customer's decision to decline all warranty at time of vehicle purchase.Business response
