I purchased a dog from here for $2,500 and we had it for two days and it died. We took it in fir an autopsy and weren**;t able to get answers. I called to file a claim with Petland and they basically said they would not help us and have refused to answer our calls.Business response

We spoke to the veterinarian and it appears the pulmonary hemorrhage was most likely caused by toxin from the plants or yard outside. We will not be issuing a refund. We have no notes whatsoever of the puppy having any health issues while with us for nearly 67 days. We are very sorry for the family tragedy. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything Petland could have done to prevent this unforeseen event.Initial Complaint

I went to Petland for a puppy play date. I became attached to a dog at the store. The sales person saw that, he tried to sign me up for a loan to get the dog right away. The name of clerk was *****. I filled out the paperwork on line at the store. They told my girlfriend we had three days to return the puppy and get our money back. It turns out it is actually two different loans for the dog. They told me it would be $190 a month. It actually to approximately $330 a month. did some research and found Cavapoo puppies cost around $1500/max $3000. Petland charged me $7000 for this dog. We looked up the breeders address on line, and we could not find them as a registered breeder or a presence of them online. I tried to return the dog, and I informed that I only had 24 hours based on the contract. That was not even for a refund, that was for an exchange for another dog.Business response

**********;Hess and his girlfriend came into the store around 3:30 to look at puppies. They found one they wanted, a cavapoo (Puppy paperwork is attached) and decided that a payment program will best fit their needs, it was filled out at 3:50.
Jacob Hess was approved by two third party lenders, Healthcare Finance Direct (HFD) and ************************ (AFF) . He utilized both of those payment programs to purchase the puppy at 5:00. As the lenders are third party to us, we merely provide the connection between the lender and the consumer, **********;then signed all agreements between himself and the two separate lenders.
Neither Petland Joplin, nor *****, has anything to do with our third-party lenders, he signed at his own accord from his own mobile device.
Attached are both documents that Mr. *********;signed and agreed to from his device from both of the lenders. Also attached is Petland Joplin's paperwork, the signed receipt showing both lenders utilized and Puppy paperwork.
