Car repossessed without receiving a right to cure notice, which violates Missouri repossession law. I'm not worried about the vehicle as it broke down less than 6 months after purchase anyway. Cars there don't seem to be too good, mechanically speaking. But then, I contacted the business to make arrangements to get my personal belongings out of the vehicle as allowed by Missouri repossession law and the business owner, *****, stated that I could not have my belongings back unless I paid him $150. This is also a violation of the Missouri repossession law.Business response

Customer, **** ******* purchased the vehicle on 01/07/22 and filed chapter 13 bankruptcy on 1/21/22 before making his first payment. We received 9 payments, $261.29 each, on the account through the courts trustee. We have not received a payment since 1/9/23 leaving the account past due. United States Bankruptcy Court Western District of Missouri filed an Order of Dismissal on 6/9/23. When we received the notice, we made arrangements to have the vehicle picked up due to the account being past due, and no communication with Mr. Hagston. Once the vehicle was back at our shop, Mr ******* called to make arrangements to pick up his belongings, to which he and his wife did later that afternoon. He also returned the key to the vehicle at that time. Acting in accordance with Missouri Repossession law, we were then able to issue a Notice of our plan to sell property, due to the default on car loan. The vehicle had a warranty but we were never contacted by Mr. ******* regarding any issues.
