I contracted with ****** ****** ** ********** ***** on Demand on 7/5/23 to repair a pool liner in my pool. He said he specialized in working with above-ground pools and that his team would repair my pool liner, which was and still is coming out of the track. He reassured me that he'd been doing this work for over a decade and could repair the problem. The contracted price was $450, paid half upfront and the other half upon completion. I paid the first half as agreed and one of his "workers" came to my home to begin the repair. After talking to the worker, I learned that he didn't work for Mr. ****** and instead had just met him that day from a ********** ad. I felt mislead because I thought I was hiring someone from a company with particular expertise, not paying someone to go find a dayworker on **********. But I needed the work done badly and wasn't having luck with anyone else. Plus, I had already paid $225, so I continued with the person that came to my home. His name was ****** ***** said he would be able to fix the job but would need to come back the next day. He came back the next day 3 hours late. He had no tools and no car. He arrived on foot. He was clearly someone down on his luck and didn't appear to be stable at all. We tried to work with him but he was unreliable and didn't even have basic tools to do the job. After two days of back and forth with him, he stopped coming to my home and the job was not complete. The pool is left in worse condition that he found it because he took some pieces off and did not put them back. I tried to contact Mr. ****** to rectify the matter, but he will not return my calls. I texted him that I was unhappy with the service and he said he'd return my call but never did. That was 10 days ago and I still have not heard anything. I'm out of $225 and my pool still isn't fixed. I've attached a screenshot of the text convo showing I paid him the first half and another conversation where he agreed to call me.

4/24/23: Contacted ****** ****** from DertyWerks to get an estimate for mobile home removal. Sent all necessary pictures of mobile home. Pictures included all sides of exterior and all rooms of interior. Negotiated price and ****** ****** requested $1500.00 up front. Scheduled a meet up location and time for 4/24/23 at 1800 to pay cash deposit. 4/27/23: I asked ****** ****** if he does gravel too. He stated he does and would get me an estimate. 4/27/23: ****** ****** confirmed demolition of mobile home for 05/03/23. 4/28/23: ****** ****** advised on price of gravel. I agreed to price and he requested deposit for gravel. $600.00 was sent to ****** ******’s Cash app for gravel and it was confirmed by ****** ****** that he received the funds. 5/2/23: 2 random guys randomly show up to look at the mobile home. They state that ****** ****** is not paying them enough to do the job. I contacted ****** ****** about the guys and he confirms that he contacted them for the removal/demolition. I advise him on what the guys told me, that he is not paying them enough. He stated that he will take care of it. 5/2/23: ****** ****** contacted me and stated that the dumpsters were unable to be delivered until 5/4/23 and would need to reschedule. I ok’d the rescheduling. He also requested an additional $200.00 for dumpsters deposit. I sent $200.00 via *******. 5/4/23: ****** ****** stated that due to traffic and construction, dumpsters were unable to be delivered on 5/4/23 and that they would be delivered on 5/7/23 instead. 5/7/23: Dumpsters not delivered. ****** ****** has been ignoring me since 5/7/23. I have attempted to text and call him numerous times and received no response. However, If I call from a different phone number, he will answer. Once I identify who I am, he disconnects the call. To date (5/12/23) ****** ****** of DertyWerks has not contacted, communicated or refunded me back at all. To date (5/12/23) I have provided ****** ****** with $2300.00 with 0 work done.

On 9/9/22 I contacted this business about removing some river rock from a portion of my yard. I provided pictures so they could send an estimate. The owner responded and said they could come the following day (9/10/22) and complete the job for $275, including a $75 deposit. I agreed and sent the deposit. The following afternoon (9/10/22) I received a call from the owner stating that they needed to quit for the day because rain was coming. Additionally, he said that it was more work than they originally thought and now the whole job would cost $375 to finish the following day. Moreover, the owner requested to be paid the full amount right away so he could pay his workers, and they would leave their tools as a pledge that they would be back to finish the job the next day. I confirmed that $375 would cover everything and sent payment. Nobody showed up the following day to complete the work, and the owner didn't respond to texts until later that evening apologizing that no one showed up. The next day (Monday 9/12), I texted the owner to see what the plan was, and he responded in the late afternoon stating that they would be out the next morning (9/13) to finish the job. No one showed up and the owner didn't respond to several texts and phone calls until Friday afternoon (9/16). At that time, he stated that they wouldn't come back and finish unless I paid an additional $125 on top of the $375 we had already agreed would cover everything. I declined, stating that we already had an agreement. The owner has not responded to any follow up texts or calls.

We worked 7 hours. It was way too much work and was clearly underbid because it was bid on photos. The photos did not show the extent of all of the work. We had to stop because it started raining and nobody wanted to go back out there because they were underpaid to begin with. We told him we needed additional payment to come out and finish the job. We completed 95% of the project.

I left at around $200 worth of tools and equipment out there that we still haven't picked up. He's not willing to negotiate but I can't make people go work when he doesn't want to pay us for the work.

If he is willing to pay more, we will finish the job. We already went above and beyond what was paid for.

In my original complaint, I acknowledged that he (while physically at my house looking at the work was left) told me that it would cost more than originally estimated, and I agreed to pay an additional $100, totalling $375 to cover everything:  "Additionally, he said that it was more work than they originally thought and now the whole job would cost $375 to finish the following day. Moreover, the owner requested to be paid the full amount right away so he could pay his workers, and they would leave their tools as a pledge that they would be back to finish the job the next day. I confirmed that $375 would cover everything and sent payment. "    The owner told me over the phone during the same conversation that they would be back to finish the next day.  When they didn't show up, he apologized and said it would be the following day.  Neither of these instances were predicated on paying additional money.  It wasn't until several days later that he told me that finishing the work would be contingent on me paying additional money.  His most recent response to this BBB complaint is to again request additional money.  I reiterated that we already agreed on a rate - one that was negotiated while he was on the job, not based on photographs - and I am not willing to pay even more.  He did leave one shovel and two rakes here, which I have told him I don't want or need and he is free to pick up at any time.

TL;DR:  We agreed on a rate based on photographs - $275.  He and his team worked a few hours, requested additional money while on-site to return and finish the job and I paid an additional $100, totaling $375.  Nobody arrived to finish the job, and now his response is to request even more money to come back and actually finish the job.

I contacted the company 3/31/2022 to haul off a sectional and move some furniture downstairs. They required a $50 deposit that I sent via *****. The work was scheduled for Friday, 4/1/2022. One person showed up at 630 pm and moved the furniture. I paid this gentleman in cash. No one showed to haul off the sectional. I asked ****** ****** for my deposit back. He said he would be by on 4/2/2022 to do the work personally. He never showed nor responded to my messages.
