I have been paying on a life insurance policy through the company roughly for ten years. I don't have a copy of the policy. I asked for one, and the company refused to send me one. I borrowed $300.00 twice from the policy. Policy payment was $79.00 monthly plus $43.00 for two years to pay for the loan. I wanted to cash out the policy. Company refused to give me the start date of the policy, any paperwork regarding the policy and only wanted to give me approximately $86.00 on cash out of the policy.Business response

I filed a claim on the death of my brother on Aug 9, 2021. When I did not hear from Old American I called about my claim. They said I had used stars where the numbers should be for social security. I said I put it down just as I saw it on my computer. I said you can write it down, as I give it to you. She said, I can't do that. I said send me another claim form. Not hearing for more than six weeks I emailed a request for a claim form. Due to incompetece, I have not received a claim form and they have acknowledged receiving a DEATH CERTIFICATE.Business response
