I purchased an engagement ring from Meierotto with the expectation of a particular diamond in the center as well as structural integrity of the ring itself. In the year that I have given the ring to my fiance we have had at least 5 different occasions that "maintenance/repairs" were needed to the ring. The first instance was within a week of me giving the ring to her. The solder marks were still on the bands and it was very unprofessionally done. They told it "it should not have gone out that way." Yet it did, it got past all the "professionals". The second time we had a smaller diamond fall out of the halo, which was repaired that same day. We have since moved over 2 hours from the store, and since then we have had to make multiple trips to drop off the ring for repairs. Either solder marks being fixed, the tiny diamonds on the halo needing repaired, or the prongs needing fixed. On 4/18 my fiance noticed the center diamond had cracked. Instead of driving 2 hours to get it looked at we went to a jeweler in town to verify that it was in fact cracked. The jeweler told us we didn't even have the correct center diamond in there that we were told we paid for. The copy of the original receipt states it was was "Princess Radiant Cut" which doesn't even exist from what we can tell. We purchased the ring under the jeweler telling us it was a Radiant cut, and we find out almost a year later and SEVERAL issues later that we have a Princess cut (which is cheaper). Meierotto also decided to change one of the mini diamonds in the halo to a lesser grade, and slightly bigger, mini diamond so it looks washed out and out of placed next to the rest. They have refused to fix it without cost any further, and treat us like cheap crap when we come in to discuss. We feel cheated by this business and would like to formally complain, but always get the run around from the staff when we try to talk to them. All the "repairs" they've done have destroyed the structural integrity of the ring.
