I recently purchased a Vehicle and when I took it up to BMW to have it inspected, they sent me a list of all the issues it has and the car is marked as unsafe to drive and I purchased the vehicle as a family car. I had my pregnant fiancé and 6 year old daughter. I’m glad that I didn’t send have everything finalized or else I wouldn’t have been able to back out of this deal.Business response

Customer was unhappy because we had to take the vehicle back due to financing not being finalized. He refused to send over the appropriate paperwork after several days and calls ignored. Bank denied to continue to do business because of lack of truthful information provided from customer. We refunded his down payment in full.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I was unhappy with the car cause of the issues with the car that weren’t even brought up the fact that you would sell someone a vehicle that is being label unsafe to drive is mind blowing and that’s why the bank backed out because it was a death trap and I sent them the picture and video of the car failing the inspection

Paid $7500 cash for a 2010 BMW 328i at this dealership on 6.11.2022. First off, this dealership let my 17 year old daughter sign an application for title when she and her father went to purchase the vehicle. Two days later, I noticed that they had input our address incorrectly and we went to dealership to sign revised application. At this time, they noticed that my daughter wasn’t 18 after staring at her license again. They were very frantic and wanted to give our money back because of this. I asked if I could sign and they finally agreed. Long story short, 10 days later the car broke down at a stoplight while my daughter was driving it. It’s now been sitting at ***** *** because it needs a new engine. I went to the dealership yesterday and they told me too bad…not okay to scam a minor and proceed to spread lies about this issue on their ******** page. This place needs to be investigated for Missouri Merchandising Practices Act immediately, as it appears that there have been many consumer scammed by their shady practices.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, a $2000 max warranty was provided. The car requires a new engine which costs $6,100. I am requesting that Midwest Autopark cover the $4100 difference since we didn’t even drive the car 200 miles before it broke down at a stoplight.

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: Midwest Autopark is knowingly selling automobiles with major defects to their customers. They need to be investigated and prosecuted per the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act. The dealership that I took my daughters used BMW (that I purchased from Midwest Autopark 10 days prior) to told me that I was lucky that the engine didn’t blow out while my daughter was driving it on the highway. They need to be held responsible for selling used cars that they know have major issues.

I purchased a car on 4/28/2022, the first issue I came across was that I received no state inspection at all, no emissions report or anything, and within 15 hours of me purchasing the car, it started overheating. I had to get it towed to a shop out of my own pocket, and I had to get my own inspection done to find out what was truly wrong with the vehicle. The car was modified with a bolt where a coolant hose was supposed to be, causing the coolant not to be pressurized. There is also a potential Head Gasket Leak as a result of this.Business response

The company agreed to pay $300 for repairs on the '02 Cadillac Seville. Seller and Buyer both agreed to that settlement.
