This company filed a collection for payment for damages done to my son's apartment and we received a copy by mail on 4/30/2022. He died on March 6, 2022, and I notified his landlord. He was living on SSI and additional support from public agencies. He had no life insurance, nor savings of any kind. This company originally sent a letter and asked for information supporting the fact that he could not pay. I sent the information to them as instructed to an email address on 5/25/2022 with attachments regarding the claim which was prior to their request for response by 6/4/2022. On 6/24/2022 we received another letter claiming that we hadn't responded and they were adding late charges and interest. On 6/27/2022 I responded through their online form on their website stating all of the correspondence information as noted above. I don't know what they expect from a deceased person, but I'd sure like to get this matter closed.Customer response

I am attaching a cover letter and "authorization" form regarding this complaint. I received a response on 7/25 that wasn't clear about what to do next ... I have looked online at the business profile for further information as instructed somewhere in the information from your office, but found nothing ... so I went back and found this authorization form and am sending it to you today so that I might get clarification of the position of J & M Securities.Customer response

Been trying to contact this business for more information on why they are garnishing my bank account, It was a surprise when I called my bank and told me this. I also want to be able to fix the problem even if that means i need to pay. But no one answers seems like I was blocked. it goes straight to voicemail. I have left voicemails but no one has called me back.Initial Complaint
