They bought my old dentist out, and I didn't find out until I showed up for my previously made appointment. Nothing changed with me, but they didn't know how to charge my BCBS dental insurance, so they charged me full price, and said they would reimburse me once insurance went through. Not only did they not reimburse me, they have been sending me notices that I owe them $71.50, after I paid FULL price before leaving.

I went to this dentist group with a chipped tooth, wanting it repaired. The Dentist told me that she could repair it, but first I'd have to have my teeth cleaned. I consented to a cleaning, but they said they'd have to have their dental hygienist evaluate my teeth in order to clean them. The Dental hygienist "evaluated" my teeth and came to the conclusion that I had "severe periodontal disease". She said I would need a deep cleaning plan and that the plan would cost me $600 out of pocket. I told her I couldn't afford that so she said there was a medium cleaning plan for $300. I said I wouldn't pay for that either because my teeth are in excellent condition and DO NOT have any signs of periodontal disease. She told me that it was not visible, but was under the gum line. My gums are healthy, and pink, and have no pain or issues. I take very good care of my teeth, using dentistry tools alongside my regular brushing and flossing. There is no way I have a severe disease such as this. She told me that if I didn't get the deep cleaning done I would have complications related to my periodontal disease such as receding gums, bone loss in my jaw, and heart disease associated with PD. I said I was still not purchasing a $600 plan. Just do the basic cleaning. She refused to do the basic cleaning so I left. I went on to ****** reviews and read that multiple people have had this same thing done to them. They are being told that they have severe PD and the dentists are using scare tactics and false information to try and scam them out of money for this $600 deep cleaning plan. They also contacted my elderly mother, telling her that she had an outstanding bill from the previous dentist, and tried to get her to pay them $400. She refused and they dropped the claim when she asked for paperwork proving it. People on the ****** reviews are stating that they did the same to them in this case too.
