On Oct. 17, I took my car into Ed Morse so they could replace a water pump on my car. It was a recall so the repair was free to me. Less than an hour after leaving there, my car overheated really bad. I had to pull over where I was and ended up having to walk to the store in the cold to get coolant because the cap on the coolant container had came off and I had coolant everywhere except where it was suppose to be. When I called them they told me to bring the car in and they would fill it back up with coolant. That's stupid. I couldn't drive to them because I had no coolant. After I put coolant in it, I figured it was fine. Then on the 18, I had to go into town and once again, the car overheated. The cap had not come off but it was still overheating. I contacted Ed Morse, again and was told management would contact me about it and they didnt. Since this is happening, I cant go to work which is problematic because I have bills just like anyone else. My car was running fine before this happened. Having this pump changed was basically preventative maintenance. They need to fix my car. I don't see this as being just a coincidence. I am desperate and not having a car is not an option because I live out in the country. I looked at reviews for the company and it seems fishy that they all have positive reviews. There is no way it's just me.

We have refused service to this consumer due to previous issues, however she called and booked this appointment under the name ****** *****. We did all the warranty work free of charge. The consumer was presented an estimate for all repairs needed outside of the warranty, but the consumer denied all recommended services. The warranty work would not correct all the overheating issues that was wrong with the vehicle, it still needs additional repairs that have not been repaired or paid for. We told the consumer we could do the repairs, but again the consumer has not paid for any repairs.

Please find attached the copy of the repair order for ****** *****.  We provided the warranty repairs of $377.13 at no charge to the customer.  We advised that additional repairs were recommended to completely remedy the customer concern.  She advised that she did not want to pay for anything.  We offered our financial services through ****** which she declined.  I am not sure what more we could do for her..... 't When we advise a customer about our diagnosis and they reject that information and decline the repairs, I am at a loss for how we help this person. We are pretty sure that a thermostat will stop the overheating problem she has had.  If she didn't value our diagnosis or want to pay us, I'd recommend that she get a second opinion from another shop.

      Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: I dont understand how that is proof whether anyone told me the thermostat needed to be replaced. In addition, it seems strange to me that now they are saying they told me they would help with financing. Obviously that never happened. I want to be sure that 100% they said there was something wrong with my thermostat and I needed to get it replaced. In addition, the thermostat has nothing to do with the cap on the coolant tank flying off. That was carelessness, not a bad thermostat. Like I said, I want to know if they 100% are claiming they told me the thermostat needed to be replaced.

      Sincerely,

      ******** *******
