We contacted Kirks via a website called "**********" for a repair we needed on our 53' Trailer that was dropped at our receivers - ********* ****, Hazelwood, MO. They were notified that there was a problem with the tandems on the trailer and we couldn't move it for safety reasons. They went over late afternoon 1/9. My customer went out and attempted to repair but and was able to slide the tandums and lock them, just as the driver stated, they would not lock. KMR went out and repaired that evening and I received an invoice, which we paid immediately, for $517.04. The trailer never moved and on Wednesday 1/11 when we went in to pick it up, it still would not lock. We called and told them the repair wasn't done and was advised, "the tandums are moving" but they were moving before they arrived. It was a nipple on the locking mechanism that was broken off. I asked them to go over and re-repair and advise. I told them if we were incorrect, we would of course, pay for a road call, but if they didn't repair correctly, we expect them to repair at no cost since we already paid for it. We were advised they would not go over unless we signed an agreement promising to pay for the road call. We are unhappy with this business behavior and feel that we should be refunded our payment since the repair was not made. The first driver who went in even sent us a picture of the part we would need to repair since the "nipple" was missing. We ask that they honor their business and give us our money back. We currently have someone else slated to repair tomorrow, 1/13 as we need the trailer Monday 1/16. As they may be also, we are a small business who is upfront and honest and only want what we paid for. Trailer #***** ********* ***** ******
