On 10/19/2024 my wife and purchased a 2015 Ford Fusion automobile at the Kia dealership. We were under the impression that if we were not satisfied within 14 days, we could exchange it. On 10/31/2024 (within 14 days) we went back to the dealer. They did an adjustment on the car's locking system after they told us the car did not qualify for an exchange. Back home we found we were still not satisfied and I called ******* ******, an assistant sales manager on 11/2/2024 to tell her we still were not satisfied. I had to leave a message. While on hold they play a message stating the 14 day exchange, no questions asked policy. The message does not list any disqualifying vehicles. It took her until. Their website states the policy. Therefore I believe they are guilty of deceptive advertising. I filed a complaint with the dealership and received a message that said to give them more information so they could help resolve the issue. The site - *************************** is what they gave me but it doesn't take me anywhere where I could provide additional information. I feel they were not honest.

I am very disappointed with Cable Dahmer Kia.  Which leaves a question, what value is there with having a BBB rating?

I went in to buy a vehicle with a tow package. They had none available in my price. I signed a contract with them to have a tow package installed. I was told it would be done the following week. This was July 21 2024. July 30th I never heard from them plus I did not have all the completed paperwork to finalize the sale of my vehicle. I contacted them and they said my paperwork was done wrong and they ran a second round of credit checks without my authorization causing a total of 12 hard inquiries. They said they would offer me an upgraded warranty package for the inconvenience. Well now it is November and I have spoken to 5 people to have this resolved and got a run around ever since. No actions taken at all.

On 9/9/24 went to Cable Dahmer Kia Lee Summit to trade in a 2012 Kia Soul that had been stolen and recovered, had dangerous fire safety recall that they knew and sold it to me anyway. I paid over 6000 thru ****** ********** and had cosigner. There were warranties etc several different charges but paid 154 a month was 349 from paying it off. My credit score was still low was working on fixing so I can start not for profit animal rescue. I explained to ***** the gal sales person about my dream of being able to do this. She seemed to really care. I told her that in the past I had been taken advantage of with me being mentally disabled. She threw different prices at me on what I can afford, I told her I can't afford more then 200, she told me with the Jeep I can drive people for **** and make a little extra money to start my dream cause my score will go up rapidly with this, kept asking for more going back and forth to manager about 2 hrs of this when I repeatedly told her I live on 1000 a month disability. I was told they will do 2000 trade in twards a better car and looked at a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. It looked nice but I did not think I could afford it. She insisted that I could and promised she would get payments that i can afford with everything covered thru free warranty maintenance, oil changes, tire coverage etc cause I didn't want to buy another failed car. I was told that i didnt need cosigner and I could drive Jeep that day. ***** drove with me to get 1500 down payment from son and Aunt that helped me. She told them don't worry that everything is covered with the free warranty and maintenance that I would not have to worry about braking down without coverage. I was very exhausted Had me get full coverage with my insurance before leaving and told me that I would get paperwork in my email. Took kia soul tag off and put it on Jeep. I have not signed anything saying I would sell my soul for 350 paid over 6000. The Jeep is a lemon.Cant possibly pay more then 200

Customer came in on Friday, November 1, 2024.  We took care of her injector for the Jeep.

    She picked up the car.

Today, 11/5/2024 she called and said the check engine light is on again and her sister wants her to take it to their own mechanic.   She did purchase a 4yr/48K powertrain plus warranty with Century.  This was financed in her loan and can be used at any certified mechanic.  We invited her back in so we could see why the repair that we did didn't work.  She said that she would take it to her own mechanic.

We believe that we have done everything possible to take care of this customer.

    Sincerely,

Was offered by ******** w / C.D.K less than the loan price they entered to ******* *** **** . As well refused to return my car that was used as a trade in back to me , or to return my  $1500.00 cash down payment as well . They have forged my signature on all documents lied about my income to obtain a loan with the lender , after the trade in that I was told was $2000.00 they only gave me nothing because i owed 350.00 on my car so they new this and they paid my loan off of 350.00 after i was told pay off and remainder of 1650.00 trade in. they added on warenties o did not know about totaling 5,660.00 line 5 century 2000.00 separate on finance 2000.00 then century again on power train 3660.00 added into the sale . so 13300.00 -1650.00 and -1500.00 is 3150.00 credit 10150.00 that should've been the amount . so they di not give me nothing but a car that was almost paid off that was told no lower than 2000.00 trade in they refuse to return they have no title to it . i do , my cash and they stated they was keeping 2000.00 plus minus mileage and what they find deemed the value of the jeep. so they refused to give an amount total . they did not want to make nothing right.

I purchased a Kia telluride from Cable Dahmer Kia in December of ‘23. I did not receive my title work until 4/15/24. I agreed to finance the vehicle and make 3 payments during the negotiation of the sale. I paid the vehicle off in full on 4/19/24 with the financier. When I recieved the lean release I discovered that cable Dahmer Kia has reported the incorrect VIN to the financier. As a result I am unable to tag my vehicle. It is now July almost 8 months from my purchase date. I have called and requested assistance from the general manager 3 times, general sales manager 5 times, and title clerk 5 times. No one returns my call or attempts to resolve this matter for me. The title clerk assures me that if I receive a ticket for driving the vehicle they will reimburse the expense. However, the car could be towed given the duration from purchase, and I do not trust this dealership with follow thru on their commitments. I need them to correct my VIN with the financier immediately so that I can tag my vehicle.

We replied to the customer and forwarded him the Lien release so he could register his vehicle.

We confirmed with the tax office in Afton, OK that they would accept an electronic copy of the lien release.

The customer insisted on having the hard copy of the lien release.   It will be overnighted to him as soon as we receive the hard copy in the mail.

Our apologies for the delay of this resolution.

    Sincerely,

Cable Dahmer Kia of Lees Summit

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me assuming that I actually receive the hard copy. However, as I explained to them during purchase, I register my vehicle with Cherokee tribe, so contacting Afton tag agency was not helpful or necessary.

On 1/3/24 I took my car into Cable Dahmer KIA because it was sputtering on the highway. They told me they needed to replace my catalytic converter to get it working again. I approved the estimate for the catalytic repair which was $2,800 even though we had just replaced the catalytic converter on that car 5 months ago at a different mechanic shop, because they told me the one the other mechanic put on was an after market part and could be the cause of our issues. Once they put the new catalytic converter on they told me they found another bigger issue- a dropped cylinder in the engine, and that my car won't be functioning until that also gets fixed and that would be an additional ~$3,500. We cannot afford to pay the extra $3,500 to get my car functioning and if I had known that was going to be the result we would have NEVER paid the $2,800 for "new" catalytic converter that we just had replaced that year! Now they are offering us only $1,000 for the car outright. So now we are out the $2,800 we paid them for work that put us in a worse position! Me and my husband, ***s, would like AT MINIMUM the cost of the catalytic converter refunded. I truly feel like we were played with and now they want to keep the money for the work they did that didn't fix our car, and give us $1,000 for our car so they can turn around and make even more money off of us.

In addition to the practices outlined in the attachment, this company has outright lied about about two additional things: 1) During the test drive, I asked the salesperson if there was a way to turn off the adaptive portion of the adaptive cruise control and was told that there was. We then had a conversation about how I do not like adaptive cruise control, thereby making it clear to the salesperson that being able to turn it off was important to me if I were to buy the car. A week after I bought the car, a different person at the dealer told me that there is no way to do that. 2) I was given inaccurate information about the add-on warranties I purchased and the business agreed to refund them and that I would see the refund reflected in my account within 6-8 weeks. At the end of 8 weeks, I emailed business to inform them that the refund had not arrived. They responded that they delayed filing my paperwork, did not bother to notify me that the timeline they themselves provided would not be met, and now I still have yet to receive the refund. I just want to be done with this business. They have proven toxic and all I want is for them to do *one thing* that they say they're going to do so I can move on from all of this.

On 8/22 I put down $100 to order a Kia Telluride. The car was available for purchase in September, but instead of being the specification I wanted they added on accessories and forced me to pay for them or wait for another to be available. In the end, I agreed to this since I didn’t want to wait for another order that could also be incorrect. I bought the vehicle on 9/19 with financing, but the finance manager incorrectly calculated the sales tax and title paperwork. I contacted the dealer on 11/1 to figure out why I hadn’t received anything in the mail to register my vehicle in Colorado. I signed a copy of title guarantee legally requiring the dealership to have the title paperwork completed within 30 days. I was told that they didn’t collect enough sales tax (I owed an extra $2984) and the title paperwork was rejected by Colorado. I also realized that they hadn’t given me credit for the $100 downpayment made at time of reservation. At this point I was running out of time on my temp tag. They did give me credit for the $100, and I was forced to take $2884 out of savings in order for them to complete the title work. If this situation didn’t happen, I wouldn’t have even realized they overcharged me $100. I called the DMV on 11/15 and they still haven’t properly completed the title work, and my license plate has expired. They refused to give me a new temporary tag or pay for me to get one in Colorado. I basically have a vehicle I can’t legally register or drive, while still paying monthly payments because of incompetency with title paperwork and financing. I am also having to delay a surgery I need because I used my savings to pay the additional $2,884 that wasn’t financed at the original transaction. My desired resolution would be to have the title paperwork completed correctly and reimbursed the $2,884.74 that should have been addressed in the beginning so that I can have surgery.

I was suppose to get a $50 prepaid **** with a test drive and we ended up purchasing the car. It's been over 3 months, 8 phones calls to the company promising they will send it. 25 days ago they said it should arrive in 2 weeks. Still do not have it. I would like what I was promised. There car dealerships will get you in any way they can and tell you lies.

Multiple issues. Salesman presented a warranty as something they give on every vehicle sold. I only discovered I was being charged for the warranty days later when just some of my paperwork was mailed to me. The finance guy was told repeatedly that I did not want an extended warranty. He tacked it on anyways. I also learned this when I received my paperwork days later. Here I am months later and I still don't have my thumb drive with all the paperwork that I signed despite reaching out to the dealership multiple times.
