      I spoke with the owner, ******, and exchanged text messages regarding hiring her to have my home deep cleaned sometime the week of Nov 6,2023. We agreed on a price of $250.00. Per text message on 11/17/23, I agreed to hire her/her company. She text messaged me on Mon 11/20/23 and said her girls would be out the following day at 12:00 noon. Her two girls were here at the same time my husband, son and myself were home working on other projects. I did check a couple of areas the girls had cleaned and had them re-do some things. That evening after they left, I was able to fully inspect the cleaning that was done and several things were either very poorly done or not done at all. I specified they were to remove all the glass globes off all of my light fixtures, do a thorough job dusting and clean all the window sills. These things were not done. I took pictures to show the owner so she could see what I was referring to when I called her. Since I was having a houseful of people over for Thanksgiving, I ended up cleaning up what they missed and waited until the following business day after the holiday to call ****** (Mon 11/27/23). ****** offered to refund $150.00 of the cleaning fee and I accepted. She asked for my Venmo info so she could send me the refund that evening. I sent my Venmo info right away. She did not respond, so I sent a text asking if she got my Venmo info. There was no response. I waited a week to hear from her but didn't, so I sent 2 more texts, then attempted to call 3 times over the next 2 days. She never answered so I left messages on voicemail. She did not respond. I called her, using a different phone, on 12/7/23 and she answered. She stated her family had covid and she would call be back in the next 3 days to discuss this. Again, she did not call. I sent her a final text on 12/12/23 stating if she did not Venmo me the refund she offered, I would be forced to file a complaint with the BBB. She never responded, thus I am filing this complaint.

      I spoke with **** **** 3 weeks prior to her hiring my company and she told me then she wanted more quotes she called me on Friday 11/17 and said she wanted her house deep cleaned the follow week 11/21 my employees arrive two of them they spent 4 hours their and when done they asked her to do a walk through of the property which **** did a walk through with my girls and they pointed a couple things out that they did fix. She was very happy with the service even tipped my girls and paid them cash that day. I never heard from **** until the following week 11/28  and when she text me I was grocery shopping and told her I would call her back. Which I did and she then told me she wasn’t happy with the services exactly a week later. I asked her why she didn’t call me on Wednesday 11/22 to fix the problems or on Friday 11/24 or even over the weekend. She said she had been sick. She expressed how their was still dust and it wasn’t dusted. After a deep cleaning or remodeling of a house it takes several times to get all of the dust as it’s still settling and coming out thru vents in the home. I was a little confused on this situation as she did a thorough walk thru before my employees left and even tips and was very happy with the services and never reached out till a week later. 

      I did not agree to Venmo and when **** called I was very sick and told her I would contact her back and ended up in the hospital with my child. I understand people aren’t happy with services and would love to fix it but when she’s tipping my employees and paying them cash that day and I didn’t hear from her till a week later I was a little confused on what was really going on their was multiple days after she could of reached out an

      I am rejecting this response because the owner, ******, she would refund me $150.00 dollars of my $250.00 cleaning fee. This was during our phone conversation on Monday 11/27/23. I also told her I never did a complete walk through as I had never used a cleaning company before and didn't know that they needed to be checked on EVERYTHING they were supposed to do. I did tip them as I was told you always tip the cleaning people and I appreciated what they did clean, but  after walking through my house I regretted tipping them, as I saw everything they did not clean. I did not contact ****** immediately as it was Thanksgiving and this was not an emergency matter, so I waited until the first business day after the holiday. I have attached my text messages sent to ******. If she never agreed to pay me $150.00 dollars through Venmo, why did she not say so when I text her about it repeatedly or respond that she never agreed to do that? I am only asking her to follow through on what she said she said she would do.

      I am rejecting this response because: I clearly sent several text messages to the owner that were not responded to. I have previously attached them as proof that they were sent. I also tried calling her on 12/6/23 at 12:55 pm and again at 8:54 pm.(I have the phone records to prove this.) It went straight to voicemail. I did not leave a message since I had no reason to believe it would do any good, as she was ignoring my texts and not answering my calls. Since she was ghosting me, at this point, I used my other phone to call her on Thursday, 12/7/23 at 6:02 pm and she answered immediately. This is when she told me that her baby had been in the hospital and said she would call me back sometime "Either tomorrow or over the weekend." I told her I was sorry about her baby and that I understood. She never called. I even gave her an extra day, Monday 12/11/23, just in case something came up. That is when I sent her the final text on 12/12/23 stating if she did not send the $150.00 refund, as she said she would, during our phone call on 11/27/28 at 5:38 pm, I was going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I have proof of both the phone calls and the text messages. Also, all of the pictures I submitted (and sent to the owner) have time stamps taken within 6 hours of her cleaning ladies leaving. Her reason of things not looking clean was because you can still have some dust settling weeks after construction might be plausible, if those pictures had been taken a week after the cleaning, but not 6 hrs. after. If an owner of a business tells you they are going to do a refund and tells you to send them your Venmo information (which I did), then they should do it. If she had changed her mind, at the VERY least, this warranted a phone call and conversation. Instead she has decided to go back on her word and not bother to tell me. This is a very poor way to run a business.
