I purchased a golf cart from this company On 8/6/22. On the contract, it said all sales are final and no returns. He scratched it out. He told me it doesn't pertain to a new cart. There was damage to the windshield and he told me he would fix it. They never gave me an official bill of sale. The document I have doesn't include anything I bought. The insurance company didn't accept the document. My wife had issues operating the golf cart. There are issues with the acceleration, steering and braking. I contacted this company and they told me I had to pay a $1000 return fee. That information was never disclosed to me. If I was told this information, I may not have purchased the golf cart. I offered him $358 and they declined it. The golf cart is in their possession.Business response

This customer purchased a brand new **** **** **** golf cart from my dealership on August 6th 2022. He purchased the cart and had us install aftermarket side steps which we included for free. ***** had us deliver the cart the following week and he paid for it when it was delivered. He took delivery of the cart and a few days after he asked for a full refund. His statement was that it was not 4 wheel drive and did not handle the offroad terrian like a side by side *** would. These are all things that I explained to him prior to purchasing an "electric golf cart." When he wanted a full refund we told him that we do not accept returns because any golf cart that has any use at all on it is now a used vehicle. Then we have to sell it as a used vehicle as well. We told ***** that we could purchase it back for full price minus $1000 for our time and delivery plus now its a used machine. ***** agreed to this option and we had the golf cart picked up the following day. He did receive a copy of a legal bill of sale that we have on file that he also signed. The customer never reached out to us after he took his check and deposited it. Instead he contacted the BBB. As goes for his wife having issues operating the golf cart that is something we never heard of or discussed. Also most insurance companies have to contact us as a dealership to insure the golf cart. These are not vehicles with a 17 digit vin that are permitted for legal road use.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: Look on your Bill Of Sale. You crossed of ALL used sales are final. Told me this did not pertain to a new cart. You also told me to take it and try it. I told you I was taking it off road and you said no problem. So any new carts with Hours on them prior to sale is used. I took apicture of the hours prior to using and guess what there were hours already on it. So if you demo a cart it is considered used even with one hour of demo. In our dicussions you never mentioned anything about AS SOON AS A CART IS SOLD IT IS CONSIDERED USED AND WILL BE ONSIDERED USED. Acording to your text to me. You forgot I offered $358 for your time. But you declined! I had to take your offer against my better wishes. It is a safety issue. This cart is dangerous.
