I took my boat in for repair on 30 April 2022. I detailed what was wrong and discussed a routine maintenance issue. At that time it was decided that they would trouble shoot the problem and call me before any work would be done. It didn't make sense to do the routine maintenance issue until the motor was fixed. I was told that hopefully this could be accomplished in 2 weeks but could be 3 weeks. I ask if it would be ok to call them for updates and was told OK. This conversation was with *****. Everything seemed OK at this point. My next contact was with ***** on the 11th of May. She told me that the would be looking at it in the next 2 days. I waited until the 17th and met with ***** and Kevin in person. At that time I was told they had looked at it and ran a computer check on it and were uncertain what the problem was. I was also told that they were consulting with Mercury Outboards to figure out the problem. My next contact was on 23 May when I was told they had talked with Mercury Outboard a few times now and were still uncertain what the problem. At this time I was concerned and contacted another resource and did some online searching. I was told that it sounded like a problem with the prop and found online info to back up my suspicion of that. I decided it was time to pick up my boat and work on it myself. I picked it up on the 24th payed them $315 and when I got it home within 30 mins had discovered myself that it simply had fishing line tangled in the prop. I removed the line and it is operating fine. They also have misplaced 2 rubber wheel chocks (value$40) and seem to not care at all. At times I felt I was being treated very rudely and they were not acting professionally.Business response

Please find Mr. ******'s work order attached; showing the work he requested as well as what he was charged for.Mr ****** was told it would be 2-3 weeks before his boat would be looked at. It was looked at in 1-1/2 weeks. HIs boat was water-tested and consultations were happening with Mercury Marine (the manufacturer) as the issue that was occurring was not consistent with normal troubleshooting methods. Dri-Port cannot control the amount of time it takes for factory responses; which varied from 3-4 days. Mr ****** made the choice to pick the boat up before Dri-Port had concluded. Mr ****** was charged a nominal amount of $59.50.The conversation between myself and Mr ****** was that we would not proceed with normal maintenance items if his motor had a severe problem, such as lack of compression. Since that was not the case, the tech proceeded with the other two items requested.Dri-Port provides 2x4 wood wheel chocks in the parking lot for all customers to use. We do not use rubber wheel chocks. It is clearly posted that Dri-Port cannot be responsible for items that customers choose to leave. I checked the parking lot myself and shared with Mr ****** where his boat was parked if he wanted to look as well.--Thank you,
***** ******
