On May 31st, 2021, I met with ******** Contracting Services at my home to discuss a poured patio. The final decision was a 4-inch thick 27x16.5 slab for a total cost of $3,200. On 5/31/21, I paid a cash deposit of $2,100 which I have an invoice for. At the time, I was waiting for the deck to be completed by another contractor, and we agreed once the deck was complete, the patio would start. At first, ***** (the owner), was responsive regarding the job then he stopped replying. On 6/25/21 I called regarding the start date, and he stated I was next on the list. I sent several messages after that, and he was unresponsive before replying again on 7/7/21 stating he would start that Friday (7/9/21). I had then sent several texts and calls with no response. On 7/22/21 I requested our deposit back and sent him several messages in July and August to try to work out the refund between us. He finally replied on 9/1/21 stating "I will send you guys the payment this Friday". I never received the deposit refund and that was the last time I heard from him despite reaching out via text and call multiple times.Initial Complaint

***** took $20,000 from us over 2 payments, maybe $6000 worth of work was done. I have a contract for ***** for driveway and landscaping work to be done, he had the existing drive way tore out and our front yard dug out for the new circle drive he put up some forms but then ghosted claiming his dad died, no workers, no capital to buy *************. Our yard and access to ********** is a pond, be aware of this guy. I filed complaint with the local sheriff's office and apparently he was arrested last week for doing the same thing to someone else, also I have a neighbor that is filing a complaint tomorrow for the same thing just less money than he stole from usInitial Complaint

We hired Romero’s contracting To tear out and re-pour a driveway and tear out and re-pour a back patio. When he first came out we paid half of the job upfront and the other half is supposed be paid upon completion a few days into the job he was asking for more money because he couldn’t get the money to pay for materials. After the Concrete arrived and got poured it start drying up on them too fast and they were not able to do the proper job on the driveway so we were left with indentions Concrete is pitting already and it’s only been three weeks old. Contract stated that we were going to get 14 inch steps in the back on the patio they did not do that they only poured 10 inch. They were paid for the entire job and they did not come and finish and we were left with a bad driveway and not the steps that we asked for they have did a horrible job for the amount of money we spent on this very poor workmanship. They would say they were going to come back and then days would go by didn’t return until later. Also he signed a contract stating that he would refund us $3000 and we have not seen that money yet he did not finish the job to satisfaction
