    I hired this company for a full rehab for my condo. Kevin came out looking and speaking very professionally and he said he will knock out the who rehab in 2 weeks. I was surprised and impressed. We came in to agreement and started the work. 3 days later after partial demo this man is nowhere to be found. He starts off with "food poisoning" issue and then other family issues and list went on. He never made it back to the job site. I had paid him $1500 as a deposit and he never got back to me or my money. After I found of what he did to me, I searched his company in more details and found other people that he has scammed with similar story line. WOW! I was fooled. He uses religion as his base and that should have been a red flag for me but I ignored it. At this point, I want my security deposit and let others know to please watch out of this guy and his company, Gifted Hands. His hands aren't gifted at all.

    I fulfilled the first part of our contract.  He is now asking for a $1,500 refund but we already completed the demolition work. We did not fulfill the second and third part of the contract because he kept adding on work stating it would only take 10-15 minutes. I'm paid for my skill not my time. He kept adding on work that was not included in the agreement. We appreciate him as our customer but do not want to be taken advantage of because we are a small company. Once he began sending threatening messages I discontinued all communication.

    The owner was referred to me by a member of my church. On August 27, 2022, he came out and spoke very professionally, used religion as a basis his company founded on, gave a quote for painting paneling. Upon receiving the invoice, I sent the deposit of $300 required through Cash App. He never came to start the project. Every day it was something, from family issues, death of family member, mandatory OT, and the list goes on & on. On the day he was to refund the money, there were payroll issues resulting in no refund! At this point I'm tired of hearing the excuses and I want my deposit back! He will no longer answer my phone calls or respond to my text messages.

    I am rejecting this response because: I received a text message from the owner on Monday, 10/3/22 @10:30 am. stating he was going to refund the deposit on 10/7/22.  I purposely waited until 6:42 pm on 10/7/22, the close of business day to see if he was going to cashapp the deposit to me.  NO!! Just another lie!! Haven't heard anything else from him and STILL no refund.  Please see the below text from ********************:

    ""I like to go ahead and get this refund to you on the 7th that's a Friday of this month before we head down to ******* to help the hurricane victims rebuild I do apologize for this more things happen that was out of my control please do not see this as a reflection of me and my company I just took too much on at once. Sincerely *************************** CEO I do see that you have made a complaint with the BBB I will make a response today then I also put a copy of the payment when I make it on the 7th hopefully at that time you can go on and put your response after you are paid. ""

    I am rejecting this response because:

    As stated in my previous email the CEO/Owner sent text message on Monday 10/3/22 that stated he was sending the $300 refund on Friday 10/7/22, because he was "heading to Florida to help the hurricane victims" and " he was going to put a copy of the payment when he makes it on the 7th".  As of today 10/13/22, I haven't received any funds.  I had already provided my cashapp  to the owner for the money to be deposited.

    Better Business Bureau:

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18046218.  The resolution is NOT satisfactory as the business owner can simply mail a check to the address provided on the work invoice or better yet CASHAP the refund of $300 back to me as that was the way the ORIGINAL PAYMENT was made. I see no need to call  the telephone number provided as I'm tired of the lies he continue to tell.

    I called and this company representative came out and gave me an estimate. I agreed to the scope of the work and the price. He asked for a down payment of half. I gave him a personal check for $630.00. The check has cleared-- he cashed it the same day. We continued to text each other and he said that all the supplies weren&#**;t available, then the rain he couldn&#**;t come. It&#**;s been two weeks now and he hasn&#**;t shown and I haven&#**;t heard from him either. Last text I got from him said he had lost his phone.
